Fabulous quiet location with a wonderful breakfast and plenty of options for walks and sightseeing. Our hosts were most welcoming and helpful, thank you!
Weeke Barton was the most perfect stay. We were a group of 11 and booked out the entire cottage, and we were all so impressed and amazed at the beauty of Weeke Barton and all it had to offer. The surrounding area was so peaceful and the views stunning. Our whole group would love to go back and would recommend Weeke Barton extremely highly. The owners were also extremely helpful and added to the brilliant experience.
Perfect in every way . From the welcome at check in to check out Weeke Barton was amazing . So relaxing and quiet . Spotlessly clean . Rooms and bathrooms where excellent . Breakfast was superb. All in all a really lovely place to stay , run by really lovely people . 10/10 would highly recommrnd
A perfect overnight stay at a beautiful historic property. Our large room was very comfortable, including the softest sheets. Lounge with open fire to relax in. Breakfast was excellent with homemade granola and local produce perfectly cooked.
The drive from the main road was longer and windier than we expected and if we are able to make a return visit we will try and arrive in daylight. Also a short walk from the car park to the front drive for anyone with mobility problems.
TotALY perfect . Lots of communication .Easy check in . Gorgeous room . Delicious Pie ( it was Friday ) and veg . Breakfast was perfectly cooked. We took a walk and lost our way which was also perfect . Cant wait to go back
Amazing couple of days at Weeke Barton. Wish we’d stayed longer. Hosts Sam and Jo were friendly and welcoming. The place itself is comfortable and very relaxing with great touches (inc an honesty bar) and nice furnishings and overall a wonderful place to stay. Food was fantastic too - awesome breakfast and dinner (roast pork and salsa verde) was the best. Lovely grounds too.
Great location, amazing breakfast (request ‘farmer size’!), lush toiletries and comfortable bed. Honesty bar on-site, speedy Wi-fi suitable for streaming and lots of walks available from the door.
Superb stay in a room which ticked every box--comfort, style, ancient architectural features! The property is secluded and nestled in the countryside. We were thrilled by the nightly conversations of nearby owls. Interiors are quite well thought out, and the sophisticated touches are inspiring.
Such a lovely place! The decor and location are very relaxing...plenty of space to read a book, listen to music or play garden games. Our dog loved to play with Winston, the owners spaniel. A drive from anywhere, but with walks straight from the door, it’s the perfect place to get away and switch off. The rooms are tastefully decorated; ours had a window seat overlooking the garden and a great bath! Just be aware that the driving route to the hotel is a lot of winding, single track, steep lanes...so maybe don’t take your favourite car!
We had a brilliant long weekend in Weeke Barton. The house is full of charm with its low ceilings, eclectic artwork and huge gardens. The whole place just feels so relaxed (it's more deluxe B&B than full on hotel) - Jo & Sam are super friendly but not invasive, the honesty bar is a lovely touch, and you can mingle with other guests as much or as little as you like. Our room was small but really comfortable and clean (honestly the best night's sleep in a very long time), the breakfast was incredible (the granola!)) and it was a pleasure to be able to eat outside every day. The surrounding area is glorious - Sam & Jo directed us on some brilliant walks, and they had lots of good local pub suggestions too. We had a brilliant meal at the Horse & Nosebag, and then spent an afternoon at The Pig in Honiton. I'd highly recommend Weeke Barton to anyone who wants a relaxed weekend away from it all in a chilled, homely setting.
Beautiful setting, A Devon long house with wonderful views from the lovely garden. Breakfast delicious, room and bed very comfortable. Jo and Sam friendly and helpful hosts. A unique and relaxing place to stay.
Set in quiet rural setting with large garden and grounds near the national park. The long house is homely, quaint and quirky. 2 narrow spiral staircases leading to bedrooms, and a living/ breakfast room with interesting collection of nic nacs. Breakfast (and evening meal) is at a large communal slate table. At first I wondered if this would be a good idea, but found the other guests to be delightful and amusing, so it added another dimension to the stay. Breakfast was delicious. Nothing too much trouble for the lovely lady serving us. She even added avocado to the choice which wasn’t on that set menu, as I like it. The hosts were really welcoming. All in all a lovely stay.
