This small hotel has an interesting history and is very close to shopping and the Exeter Quayside. We received a very warm welcome on arrival, with tea and biscuits. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a well appointed bathroom. Although a limited menu for dinner the food was freshly prepared, plentiful and delicious. Breakfast is excellent with fresh orange juice, pastries, and a good choice of hot dishes. Loved the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup! Like dinner everything was freshly prepared. Service was friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The team at this hotel are so welcoming and helpful and serve the most beautiful and well thought out breakfast...little pot of berries, yoghurt and granola, mini croissants, fresh orange juice and then a delicious menu to select your actual breakfast from. The bar is a really nice area and they make great cocktails.
