  • Nestled in the cedars, our pet friendly log cottage offers a peaceful retreat, and at the same time, a convenient home base for exploring all that Door County has to offer. We think you’ll love the rustic northwoods vibe. The cottage is located just a short walk from the waterfront, public beach, and the charming village of Ephraim. Take a sunset sail, go for a carriage ride, step into the past on a historical tour, or simply take a leisurely stroll on the back roads. As for food and drink, Ephraim Coffee Lab, Good Eggs, The Fashionable, Pearl Wine Bar and Wilson’s famous ice cream parlor are all nearby. Peninsula State Park is within biking distance. And of course, just a little further afield, opportunities abound for hiking, exploring nature, golfing, boating, checking out the galleries or taking in a show. Whatever your plans, we hope that you find our cottages to be a welcoming home away from home!

    Northwind Cottage #1 has a fully furnished kitchen with a table for 4, a dining area with seating for 8, a wood burning fireplace, and a living area perfect for gathering after a day of adventure. The cottage also has a charcoal grill, a small screened porch, picnic tables and a hammock in the backyard. The cottage is serviced by cable TV and wireless internet.

    Northwind Cottage #1 is adjacent to Northwind Cottages #2 and #3. Not only can each cottage be rented out individually, but they are also perfect for larger family gatherings, accommodating up to 18 people total, when renting all three together.
    1-2 dogs are permitted. Dogs must not be left alone in the cottage. $100 pet fee per reservation (includes 1-2 dogs).

Amazing Cabin

My family and I had an amazing stay here for the Sister Bay Fall Fest. My parents, Fiancé, Brother, and his girlfriend, plus our dog all stayed here. Cabin was very clean, super cozy, and all around spacious for all of us. The fireplace was a cozy bonus and we left talking about booking again! Very highly recommend!

Comfy cottage

The property is clean and the beds are very comfortable. It is an older property, so there are some quirks that come with it. But, overall, it just added to the "up north" experience.

Convenient, clean, cozy, quiet

We loved the setting of this cabin, tucked in the trees and seemingly in the country, but in reality just a half block from Ephraim Bay. There were enough bedrooms for my husband and I to stay there with our son’s family of five. Well equipped kitchen, charming interior with a fireplace in the living room, and a screened in porch gives this place extra appeal. Allison was very prompt about responding to my questions.

It was a great location for exploring Door County. It was very comfortable and quiet. Bring your own tissues if you are someone that has allergies. There are none provided. FYI- Both showers have slippery floors. The WiFi worked great while we were there. Could not get the cable to work, but I just used their Apple TV to play movies from my Amazon acct and that worked out fine. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Cottage in Ephraim

I would highly suggest this beautiful cottage nestled in the woods, walkable to the main street in Ephraim. Everything about this experience was great. From the ease of reserving, to our communication with the host Alison, to our wonder stay at the cottage. I was with my immediate family and adult nieces and we all had a great time. The cottage was cozy and was stocked with everything we needed. We grilled out, used the firepit at night and even gathered around the dining room table to play games. I would reserve this cottage again. Thank you Alison!

Small Cabin Big Win

This was a lovely space for our girls getaway. There were 4 bedrooms so all of us had our own bedroom. There were two updated bathrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped. The diningroom and livingroom were cozy and comfortable. It was quiet and surprisingly private considering there were 2 other cabins and other homes nearby.
