The village of Riechheim - a district of Elleben - is a well-known and popular nature conservation and hiking area with a lot of untouched forest landscape for the residents of the Thuringian state capital Erfurt, about 17 km north - beautifully situated on the over 500 m high Riechheimer Berg, the one wonderful 80 - 100 km wide view of the southern Thuringian basin (Arnstadt, the famous "3-Gleichen-Burgen") and large parts of the Thuringian forest. From here you can easily drive to Erfurt in about 20 minutes and Weimar in about 30-40 minutes - the European Capital of Culture 1999 and UNESCO World Heritage with the houses of Goethe, Schiller and Liszt, the famous National Theater ("Weimar Republic ") and the" Bauhaus "- but also to the infamous Buchenwald concentration camp. You will find just a few kilometers from your apartment (even on foot!) the Thuringian open air museum Hohenfelden, only approx. 1 - 2 km further the thermal landscape and water park "Avenida-Therme" and behind it the active park Hohenfelden with climbing forest, archery, adventure golf, bungee trampoline, beach volleyball, climbing playground and petting zoo. In summer you can go swimming in the lake there ... Another short stretch - and you are in the old town of Kranichfeld with its two castles and a well-known falconry, the daily flight demonstrations of birds of prey of many types and sizes (even a Condor is included!) offers. Of course, you can also explore all of this by bike - and for fans of the bicycle (which you can borrow from us) there are a number of cycle paths available - such as the Ilmtal cycle path and the Rennsteig cycle path. And on the weekends you can let yourself be blown up in the air in nearby Bad Berka - or explore the area comfortably from above with an engine pilot. You will find Arnstadt in a south-westerly direction - this is where Johann Sebastian Bach found his first job as organist and in nearby Dornheim you can visit the church where he was married to his first wife. And in winter it is not far from there to the winter sports resorts in the Thuringian Forest, especially the famous Oberhof with its toboggan and bobsleigh tracks, biathlon, cross-country and alpine skiing areas. From Riechheim you can easily take day trips to the entire Thuringian country. B. to Gotha, Eisenach with the Wartburg, Bad Langensalza with its beautiful gardens, etc. And of course please don't forget the state capital Erfurt, which can be reached in just a few minutes by car! The apartment is well-suited for a couple, further, it is very clean and organised. Reinhard and Akiko are helpful and communication is excellent. Only a short drive to Erfurt, Weimar and Gotha. Da wir 3-4 mal im Jahr Ferienwohnungen mieten haben wir einen guten Vergleich. Im Hinblick auf Freundlichkeit des Vermieters, Sauberkeit und Ausstattung der Wohnung findet man kaum etwas Besseres. Außerdem liegt die Ferienwohnung sehr ruhig, was sehr zur Erholung beiträgt. Ausflugsziele wie Weimar, Arnstadt oder Erfurt sind schnell zu erreichen. Vielen Dank! Sämtliche Einrichtungsgegenstände und Mediageräte waren sehr gepflegt und auf hohem Niveau. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Selbst Willkommensgetränke und Kaffee war vorhanden. Super. Die Wohnung ist überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet, auch aktuelle Reiseführer sind vorhanden. Besonders die schöne Terrasse hat uns sehr gefallen. Herr Weth ist sehr um seine Gäste bemüht und steht gerne mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Die Gegend bietet unglaublich viele Highlights für kulturell Interessierte. Die Thüringen Card mobil lohnt sich da auf jeden Fall. Wir sind z.B. mit dem Zug nach Eisenach gefahren und haben die Wartburg und das Bachmuseum besichtigt und einen Tag die Highlights in Weimar angesehen. Man kann aber auch direkt von der Wohnung aus loswandern, was ebenfalls toll war. Wir können die Wohnung und die Gegend nur empfehlen. Falls wir nochmals dorthin fahren, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder diese Wohnung mieten. ##### Ingrid E. Die FeWo machte insgesamt einen sehr guten, sauberen und bestens ausgestatteten Eindruck. Es fehlte an den Dingen die für das alltägliche Leben wichtig sind eigentlich.....nichts ! Selbst verschiedene Waschmittel ( für die selbstverständlich vorhandene Waschmaschine ) und diverse Bade- und Küchenutensilien waren reichlich vorhanden. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und die Vermieter sind sehr entgegenkommend und immer erreichbar. Als kleines Manko ist vielleicht zu benennen, dass es in dem kleinen Örtchen keinerlei Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt, der nächste Discounter ist ca. 7 km entfernt. Das muss man wissen, wenn man z.B. mit Bahn und Bus anreist. Aber da man ja in der Regel mit einem Fahrzeug vor Ort ist, sollte man davon unabhängig sein. Und außerdem kann man mit Sicherheit auch mit den Vermietern reden, ob eventuelle Einkäufe gemeinsam und/oder mit erledigt werden könnten. Vielen Dank noch mal an dieser Stelle für den schönen Aufenthalt an die Vermieter. We hebben genoten van het verblijf in dit huis. De gastheer is zeer vriendelijk en het huisje is meer dan compleet.
