This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out). Despite all this, it was in a good location for us and a good price. We wish the team well with their continued improvements and hope it is a success.

Should not be a allowed to advertise as a guest house.
Carpet not clean in room and bedding was dirty so took our own blankets in.
Had to ask for tea as only 2 coffees and no milk which we had to pay for.
Had people knocking and shouting in the late evening

"I keep telling myself it’s cheap and cheerful, and it is to some degree.. but it has a 4* sign as you drive in, and this just isn’t the case. Rooms are run down and have needed upgrading for years.
