Cadlao has two different pools, both of which blend seamlessly into the beautiful backdrop of El Nido. The property is stunning, located directly on the beach so you can walk on the beach to the tourist area in the morning during low tide. The restaurant was phenomenal, and the bar made a truly delicious calamansi mojito. Despite arriving fairly late in the evening, we were greeted by the property manager with a virgin cocktail, and attentive staff who were quick to make sure our heavy bags were delivered to our rooms without our having to lug them around ourselves. I loved our stay, and would absolutely come back. However- some points to note:
1) they are an eco-friendly resort, so they reduce power consumption during certain hours, but they also have a generator to keep the fan and lights on
2) during high tide, at night, you have to be able to find your way through the winding back streets of the local neighborhood because the water will cover the beach entirely and you won’t be able to access the resort that way. It’s very easy to learn the route, but it’s worth noting if your vacation goal is to drink to the point of not remembering how to get back home
