Earl Warren Showgrounds Tours and Activities

I had originally booked a 2 night stay at the Inn through Expedia which I ended up extending about a week prior to our trip. I called the hotel directly to make sure there was availability and was instructed to book the additional night on Expedia, and that our same room type was, in fact, available. When we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk was very courteous, so the check in experience was positive. From the outside, the hotel looked like it had recently been renovated, the inside, not so much. Not the cleanest room. Hair on the floor, manual keyed doors, bed wasn't the most comfortable. The fridge worked great and the pool was nice. Our main issue was with the staff entering our room while we were present. This happened on multiple occasions throughout the stay. The first instance was to inform us that we were late for check out, which wasn't the case, we still had 2 more nights booked, which they seemed to not have on record. I had to check in a second time, and thankfully we were able to keep our same room. Similar scenario happened at least twice more, unlocking the door and coming in unannounced. We began to feel uneasy being in the room and were concerned about leaving our belongings as well. The staff was friendly, but unorganized and unprofessional. The location was convenient, walkable to the beach and nearby restaurants and the zoo. Quiet side of town, which we did enjoy, but not walkable to downtown/State Street areas. We probably wouldn't stay here again.

Mickey at the front desk was amazing and so helpful. Everyone who was working there was above and beyond. The beds were some of the comfiest I’ve slept in at any hotel. The beach cruisers and helmets were included in the stay and so much fun. It’s beautiful, quiet, and centrally located to anything you could possibly want to do in Santa Barbara. The pool was much colder than we expected so we went to the ocean instead. They have snacks and beverages available. The “continental breakfast” was much better than anywhere else I’ve stayed. For sure would stay here again. The people here make this place a gem.
