We were welcomed by our hosts and stayed in a little cottage behind their home at the very end of a quiet neighborhood street. The cottage was simple and clean and gave us the experience of living in a typical Costa Rican home. We were comfortable and our children loved it. There are animals on the property and gardens. We were a short walk from the beautiful beach and there were fireflies at night. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The area was very quiet. There was a rooster that would wake us in the morning but the sun was already rising and it was just part of the experience of the Costa Rican way of early to rise and early to sleep.
