Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Large garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Outdoor swimming pool (private, 9m x 4.5m, max depth 2.4m, open 1st July - 31st August). Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced pond 20 yards away.. Enjoy the privtae covered outdoor swimming pool.. Situated in the grounds of the owners Grade II listed hall house which dates back to 1653, this detached cottage is elegantly furnished to a very good standard. Ulric the Thane was Lord of the manor in early Saxon times and Whittingham Hall was often visited by Prince Edward I. At one stage the land was used for racehorse training, some gallops remain intact. Whittingham Cottage enjoys complete privacy and a very pretty cottage garden with a terrace surrounded by roses. Ideal for sitting and enjoying a pleasant summers day or evening.

A lovely peaceful cottage in a great location. Never got a chance to get to know the owners as they were heading of on holiday. Some great local villages to visit Could of stayed for an other week exploring the surrounding area.

Lovely warm and cosy accommodation situated well off the beaten track but centrally placed to visit
Lovely warm and cosy accommodation situated well off the beaten track but centrally placed to visit everywhere we wanted to go within 30-45 minutes. Went to Dunwich Heath, Aldeburgh, Flatford Mill, Southwold, Lavenham, Sutton Hoo, Saxmunden, Lowestoft, Thetford Forest and also enjoyed just walking to Fressingfield. Were welcomed not only with a couple of nice surprises from the owners but also by an enormous number of pheasants! Many thanks for everything.

We enjoyed the tranquillity and pretty location of the cottage.
We enjoyed the tranquillity and pretty location of the cottage. It is very accessible for lots of interesting places such as Diss, Minsmere ,Eye, Aldburgh and Southwold.
Our grandson loved having exclusive use of the pool and exploring the fields around the farm.

A lovely setting. The Cottage is secluded although the main house is close if anything is needed. A friendly welcome. We are thinking we shall revisit in the summer when we can use the pool.

We had a wonderful mid-week break at the Cottage.
We had a wonderful mid-week break at the Cottage. The hosts were wonderful and left an arrival gift of wine and chocolates which was much appreciated. The cottage was well equipped and the location was ideal - quiet countryside walks and the village a short drive away has a good restaurant and mini-market. If you love nature and wildlife you will love it here!
