"Kathmandu Grand Hotel is a great place to stay in Kathmandu, Nepal. Ideally located in Thamel area, the room was very clean and bed was comfortable. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the terrace every morning. The staff let us stay until late hours because our flight was late at night. 100% recommended. Would love to go back. Wonderful!"

"Great location on one of the few quieter streets in Thamel. Super friendly staff that will make you feel at home during your stay. My favorite feature was the rooftop, which one of the highest in Thamel, and great for soaking up the scenary of mountains and some glorious sunshine - also with it being the highest up there privacy is very well established too. Ruchana and Sanjay were phenomenal managers and will ensure you are comfortable and well settled. "

"What a warm reception upon arrival! The owner, Bimal, was very welcoming and gracious, and so proud to tour us thru his property (as he should be, it’s beautiful!). We received a cup of tea upon arrival, toured the grounds, and were given suggestions on where to wander to find fun restaurants for dinner. We also received a nice greeting from Bimal when we booked the room, and even his WhatsApp message was friendly and warm. We love it here!! "

The location could not be better, situated on a quiet road but only a minute walk from the busy streets of Thamel. "This place was truly an oasis in the middle of a busy area of Kathmandu. It was clear that the manager and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and fed. Everything in the room worked (shower, plugs, ac, supplies, etc) which is not always true for some spots in the city. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Ps. The place has no elevator so yiu nay have to go up and down the stairs which wasn't a problem for me."
