Recently remodeled, Unit #419 is a top renting unit at Holiday Surf, and it sits right on the beach. Enjoy your morning coffee on your private balcony while you take in stunning views of the beautiful white sand beach and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. At sunset, listen to the hypnotic sound of the waves as you sip a glass of wine on the steps of the boardwalk. Features of this cute little condo include a new kitchen with white shaker-style cabinets and granite countertops, breakfast bar, new appliances and adjoining dining area with dry bar. You'll love the beachy, wood-look tile in the main living areas and the new La-Z-Boy queen-size sleeper sofa with two matching recliners in the living room. You'll get a great night's sleep on the king-size bed in the master. For the little person in your family, you'll find a twin-size cot with bedding in the closet. The bathroom has plenty of extra storage, granite countertop and new vanity. Never miss that big game with HD Cable and the SEC Channel in the living room! Complimentary high-speed WiFi is also included. There is a 42-inch HD flat screen in the living room and a 32-inch HD flat screen TV in the bedroom. Both TVs come with a DVD player and a nice selection of vintage DVDs. Walk out the back door of the building to the private beach - no parking lots or streets to cross. REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR BEACH TOWELS!!! THESE DAYS, IT IS PROBABLY ALSO ADVISABLE TO BRING A COUPLE ROLLS OF TOILET PAPER AND/OR A ROLL OF PAPER TOWELS. Laundry facilities are conveniently located just a few steps down the hall, right on the same floor. Holiday Surf & Racquet Club is located on Holiday Isle, a quiet peninsula situated between the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Highway 98, yet still conveniently located near area family attractions and great dining experiences in and around the Destin Harbor area. Here are a few nearby restaurants that we’ve tried and really like - in no particular order: 1\. Dewey Destin's Harborside Restaurant 2\. Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House 3\. Marina Cafe (Destin’s “most awarded” restaurant) 4\. Harbor Docks - a local favorite with an interesting "Thai" take on some dishes. 5\. AJ’s - In addition to their restaurant and bar, AJ's also has a great party boat - you'll be singing YMCA like the Village People on your way back to the harbor. Seriously. 6\. Margaritaville - They have gluten-free burger buns for those with issues who still enjoy a burger now and then. 7\. McGuires Irish Pub - Great food, open late, and have their own micro brewery. Hubby says it might possibly be the best beer he's ever had. People rave about their steaks and prime rib. I love their corned beef and cabbage. O.M.G.! 8\. The Donut Hole (we LOVE this place for breakfast). Outstanding donuts and desserts; check out the dieter's special (which we refer to as a heart attack on a plate - but OMG! It is delicious!!). The lines get long here for breakfast; takeout will be quicker. 9\. Bric a Brac - Word from one of our guests is that the new Bric a Brac restaurant right there on Holiday Isle is a must see. According to the website there is great food and jazz on the weekends. Can't wait to try this one out! 10\. The Back Porch - This is a local favorite, and right on the beach. Gluten-free options available. Best drinks in Destin. Hands down! 11\. Pompano Joe's - The Travel Channel has featured Pompano Joe's as the ultimate beach shack and one of the world's best beach restaurants. Gluten-Free options available. Also right on the beach. Beach volleyball, anyone? There are many, many other restaurants and steak houses - pretty much any food and price range you could imagine. The condo is located close to Target, Winn Dixie grocery store, liquor store, the nail salon... So many things to do at the Harbor. So much fun! Zipline, deep sea fishing charters, sunset wine cruise, dolphin cruises, parasailing - you name it! There are also a number of great bars and restaurants and small shops. Big Kahuna's Water Park is located about 2 miles east of the condo. The kids will love it. Great shopping at the Silver Sands Outlet Mall! LINEN/HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: Our unit will be cleaned to quality standards prior to your arrival and after your departure. Coin-operated laundry facilities are located on the fourth and sixth floors of the resort. The condo will be stocked with a STARTER SUPPLY of trash liners, toilet paper, bath soap and dishwasher soap. This condo has a 3-night minimum stay. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We especially loved having easy access to the private beach and the view from the balcony was amazing. The common areas were centrally located and we never had an issue finding a close parking spot. Only issue was with check in, the front desk told us we needed to receive a text message when our condo was ready, but it turned out that we didn’t. Perfect location, right on the beach. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The Owners had thought of everything you could possible need and had it on hand. We liked that it was on the 4th Floor so we could take the stairs or the elevator. No long waits at the elevator. We would definitely stay again. ##### Lori P. Bathroom & kitchen ready to go with nice fluffy towels and plenty of dishes and silverware. The balcony view was absolutely beautiful and the table &chairs out there were just right to see over the rail and enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal. The building setup was well thought out and convenient. The walkway to the pool & beach was clear and level, just right for us to feel safe getting to & from the outside. We saw dolphins every day. We could not have been more pleased and hope to make this our vacation home again. This was our first stay in Destin. Thank you, Josh, for a great experience!! ##### JENNY C. The owner was very attentive and responded to an inquiry immediately. Overall the property was exactly and described except that the furniture in the living room and kitchen chair set was in dire need of replacement. The pull out sofa which we did not require for sleeping was not really comfortable enough to even sit on. The kitchen chairs we peeling what ever material was covering the sitting section, blue material like a vinyl paint of some sort. The la-z-boy (2) chairs in the living room needed to be replaced-- they were just worn out and the material covering the arms was very grimy. ##### Daniel M. It's an extremely nice, updated condo and has an awesome view! But we ran out of paper towels, wash rags (only 6 for 2 people staying 6 nights), dishwasher pods and trash bags. And when this was relayed we were just reminded that there are limited supplies for a reason. The bed is definitely worn out and not supportive. We couldn't sleep on it after the first night. We do prefer a medium to firm so we had to come up with other ways to try to get sleep unfortunately which is my number one priority on vacation. My last stay was 3 yrs ago and it was very comfortable then. Communication with the owner was fine prior until we brought up the above concerns or issues. Then it became more of "well no one prior to you" kind of response rather than attempting to be understanding. My first stay was with a different owner...totally different experience. So unfortunately we won't be back and will be trying to find a different condo at the building. Just an overall disappointing stay trying to rest but the weather and deep sea fishing helped make up for it! It was our honeymoon trip after getting married in May. ##### LeeAnn T. Cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. It was spotless. Paint, appliances, furniture: all in great shape. Would 100% stay again! Communication with owner top notch. Cold AC, hot shower, comfy beds. An adult used cot mattress on the floor & was very comfortable. Good sized bedroom closet with hangers. Big dresser & 2 nightstands with drawers. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice cutlery. Good icemaker. Beach is just feet from back of the building and not too crowded (mid-July) You can rent beach equipment, like paddleboards from the reception area in the lobby. There are 2 outdoor showers on the boardwalk and a few foot washing hoses that were so convenient. Property: Laundry cost is $2.50 per machine, takes card or coins, closes at 10pm. Smoking is permitted only in smoking area. No smoking on balconies. There were a lot of luggage carts and shopping carts. There was plenty of parking. Tips: Bring extra garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, bath towels if you use hair and body towels, extra blankets if cold-natured. Would recommend bringing some over the door hooks to hang bath towels, swimsuits, etc. There are no hooks in the hallway or on balcony. Beach tip: Take snorkel gear to look for fish and see what is swimming around. Fun Go to O'Steen Beach Access for snorkeling. It is a 15 min walk or 5 min drive, but parking is limited and costs $20\. So fun! ##### Tamara B.
