Welcome to “La Mer", a new gulf-front luxury vacation rental in Destin/Miramar Beach, Florida! Boasting a premier, gulf-front location, six immaculate bedrooms that all offer gulf views, sleeping accommodations for up to 16 guests, a private splash pool, and views of the Gulf of Mexico that span for miles. From March - October, 2 Umbrellas and 6 Beach Chairs are set up daily. \*Two dogs are permitted with a $300 non-refundable pet fee. Passing through the first floor entryway, guests will make their way up to the second floor where they will find the gulf front, open floor plan living area. The gourmet kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances including a six-burner gas range. Off of the kitchen lies the dining area while additional seating is available at barstools along the kitchen counter or on the private balcony. The living room is complete with a large couch, two arm chairs, a skirted swivel chair, and a flat screen TV. A half bath services the second-floor living area. A Queen Suite with an en suite bath rounds out the second floor space. The third floor houses two additional suites, the first of the home’s two bunk rooms, and a laundry nook. The gulf-front Master Suite is complete with a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet, a flat screen TV, private balcony access, and an en suite Master Bath with dual sinks and a standalone shower. Down the hall, a gulf-view Queen Suite offers spacious sleeping accommodations and an en suite bath. The first of the home’s two bunk rooms sleeps four on a set of single-over-full bunks and includes an en suite full bath. The third floor laundry nook is complete with stacked, front-loading Whirlpool appliances. On the fourth floor, guests will find an additional bunk room, a Queen Suite, a second laundry room, and an additional entertainment area which is serviced by a half bath. The secondary living room offers stunning views, flat screen TV, comfortable seating (which converts to a trundle bed), a wet bar, and bar top table with seating for four. Perfect for teenagers to hang out, or for families to get away for some quiet time. The fourth-story Queen Suite features a queen-sized bed and a full, adjoined bath with a standalone shower. The fourth floor bunk room is complete with a set of single-over-full bunks and an en suite full bath. All three floors of living space have balconies that provide stunning ocean views. Be aware that you are on the the crowded beach road in Destin/Mirmar. Very convenient, but somtimes noisy. Séjour de 8 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Lisa H. 15 juin 2025 I’ll start with the positive. The home was in a good location. The interior was nicely decorated and well appointed. Upon arrival we notified management that the oven didn’t work. Manager came back and was able to manually light the gas oven, but there was a very strong smell of gas. He provided us with a toaster oven that could not accommodate even the smallest casserole dish. Manager said he could come and light the oven whenever we needed but we repeatedly told him that lighting wasn’t the issue, it was the obvious gas leak. We stayed for 8 days and never had use of the oven.The beach is definitely NOT private. There are entrances to the beach on both sides of the house for the complexes across the street. We had people set up their tent OVER our provided umbrellas. Other people set up their own chairs and umbrellas between ours and the water. Completely blocking our view of the gulf.The “pool” is approximately 6’ X 12’, 36” deep and completely shaded. We were warned not to set the A/C below 72 degrees and we never did, but the unit would shut itself off for whatever reason, one time giving a message that the air conditioner would be available after 6pm. Went to bed with A/C set at 72 and woke up during the night to 78 degrees.There is no children’s play area, as advertised. Parking area lights stopped working after a couple of days. Washer was full of mold. (see photos) Beach and area around home had a lot of garbage. The managers of the home were very nice and everything was wonderful from our check in process to how easy they made the whole stay. The property itself is beautiful and super comfortable. We were lucky to enjoy beautiful weather but it didn't prevent us from sitting in front of the fireplace for our daily coffee and afternoon tea. Thank you for a no surprises week of vacation.
