This one bedroom, one bath condo is located on the second floor of Grand Caribbean East and boasts enchanting views of the Gulf of Mexico and the community pool deck! The roomy and bright bedroom has a queen bed and flat screen TV with access to the bathroom. The bathroom also can be accessed from the hall where there are built in bunks, perfect for kids. This is our second time staying in this unit and we won't stay anywhere else in Destin. The unit is beautiful and cozy yet spacious and clean and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The balcony overlooks the pool and street traffic, providing an amazing view of the area. Since the unit is across from the beach you can also see and hear the water from the balcony. This unit has quick easy access to the beach and walking trail that is steps from the condo. No car is needed to go to the beach or to go for a walk/run. The property is also close to the main highway for quick and easy access to shopping and other Destin activities. This unit is also very kid friendly. We had our 4-year-old and 22-month-old with us and they loved this unit as well. They had a blast playing on the balcony and watching all the people and the sightseeing helicopter that flew by many times a day. The on sight amenities are also amazing. There is a pool that I've mentioned and a hot tub, grills, picnic tables, and easy parking. We highly recommend this unit. ##### Shelby C. My Vacation Haven needs to throw out all of the decorations, mattresses, patio furniture, dining table and chairs and kitchen utensils and gadgets and start over. Looks like they did their shopping at Goodwill or a local thrift store, so everything is tacky looking, mismatched and/or broken. The wicker furniture on the patio is rotted and broken, the metal chairs on the patio are rusted - so we stood and enjoyed the view - just couldn't sit on anything without fear of falling through it or breaking. The couch and arm chair look new and were comfortable, but not to sleep on - needs a new sleeper mattress. Forget getting an accurate code for the pool - the ones listed on the app DO NOT WORK, and no one bothered to ever send a correct one even after asking. There is a binder in the unit that evidently belonged to an owner from 10 years ago, so nothing in it is current. There was no parking pass in the unit and had to wait for a "runner" to bring one the following day. The location and the sheets for the beds were the only high quality things inside the unit. The potential is there for this unit to be better - but the company that owns it will have to cough up some money to make it better and higher end. If you don't mind the yard sale look on the inside, you'll be fine. ##### Yolanda R. The rehearsal and wedding was at the beach directly across the street, so it was very useful to just be across the street for a few older family members to be able to wait until right before the wedding. Booking was very easy and communication was amazing. Very close to all major events in the area and steps to beach. We felt safe and secure at this property. We stayed on the 2nd floor with no elevator but it wasn’t bad. Parking was easy and lot was well lit with easy access to dump trash as well as take shower after the beach. The outdoor furniture is ready to be updated but interior was clean and accommodating. The management company was on point for everything from check in to check out. Plus they provided beach chairs and toys for the littles. Saved us from having all that in tow. Thank you for a wonderful week! ##### Noemi V. The only issue we had was the app didn’t update with the correct pool code so we were having to ask other guests for the code. The main bed is also really uncomfortable. The owners have made some nice updates with the other furniture in the room. I would suggest fixing the balcony door because it was hard for us to get it to work. Good first the kitchen and bathroom updated furnishings. Very nice. And the condo was clean. Great location. Easy access to the beach and pool. Bad the couch was nasty and desperately needs to be replaced. And the condo itself has a musty smell to it. And the tv controls did not work. Unfortunately we ended up leaving early because of Tropical Nicholas. I would stay there again but the couch has got to go! ##### laura h. That one was no longer available to rent so I booked this one. I was absolutely disappointed when I walked through the doors. It smelled musty, the floors were dirty (pretty sure they haven’t seen a vacuum or mop in awhile.. probably not even a broom for that matter as there were dried up noodles on the rug in the living room and broken plastic/glass under the chair), shower curtain was moldy, air vents were dingy and yellow, the back door needs fixed, the bowls and silverware were DIRTY! I had to wash everything before it could be used, and the couch and throw pillows… absolutely disgusting, as was the living room rug. I was so grossed out that I avoided the couch the entire week. I rent through vrbo quite often, I don’t have unrealistic expectations and have never in my life left a bad review but this condo was an absolute disappointment. ##### Megan M.
