This was our second time staying and still appreciated the cleanliness and location. The house had everything we needed, easy check in and out, and close to App State campus for a visit with our student.

Cozy Spot

We had a wedding in Boone and needed a place to stay close to the venue. The location was perfect. It was quiet and cozy and the perfect amount of space for 3 people. Eveything was clean and organized. It was an excellent stay!

Quiet Getaway

We were there for an App State campus tour. It was only 15 minutes from campus but it is a nice quiet rural place.We also went hiking and there are many places to choose from that are all about 50 minutes or less drive.

The place was clean and quiet. Easy to check in and out. Location was great. Everything was there and beds were comfortable. Enjoyed our stay. Would recommended. Only issue was ac/heat was loud and hot water ran out fast.

Comfortable and affordable

My daughter and I went to visit my son at ASU. The home was very clean and met all of our needs. It was very comfortable and an easy, pretty drive over to the school. We really liked the deck area!

Great Little Place

We were pleased with this house. It was perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable. It was well stocked. I enjoyed the large deck out front to sit and read. I liked that you felt like you were out, but there were homes close by. The drive into Boone was not too long. Will definitely stay again!

quaint and quiet neighborhood

Very clean, and so much more to offer than a hotel. Close enough to Boone but far enough away that you know it. My only negative is the window A/C unit, it is noisy. But overall, I would stay here again for sure.

Mother-Daughter weekend on a budget

Great value! Beautiful neighborhood scenery and close enough to town. Very comfy pillow-top queen bed and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Every appliance we used worked as expected. If you hate washing dishes, bring paper plates and plastic utensils! The owner was immediately responsive when texted.

Winter weekend

Always nice and clean, have stayed here before. Was concerned that it may be a bit cold as the forecast called for below freezing temps the weekend we were to be there. Was definitely not cold in the residence. Quite warm, very nice. However, the sound of the heating system when engaged is noisy. To be expected in a small unit as this. Overall, very pleased. Will stay again.

Tubing trip to Hawk’s Nest

The property seemed very clean. There were neighbors, but not close by. We had a delightful time in the snow and enjoyed the location. The only thing that we had a problem with was getting around when the snow hit. Even our AWD SUV could not get up Wildcat road to even turn in to North Star where the property was located. A nice couple driving by helped us get back to the warmth. The Heater is very good, but also very loud. For a few moments we thought a horn was blasting, then found all of the heat registers were closed. Opening them dropped the decibel level.

The home was perfect for our stay. A centrally located floor model AC kept the home comfortable along with several fans. The home was extremely clean and all necessary items were present. The early check in time as well as noon check out was a big plus. Extremely quiet and private location with shade made the deck a great place to relax. We certainly enjoyed our time there. Thanks Brenda for a great stay!

We had a very nice time at this location. Our Son was Graduating from App State and he lived off campus. We were minutes from his house and 15 minutes from App State. If you're looking to visit an App State Student, this is the place to stay. You get the mountain feeling and your just outside Boone. Another bonus is you are right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We took the Parkway up to Blowing rock and it was a beautiful ride. This place is perfect for a weekend away.
