"This is not an hotel, but rather a bed and breakfast - a very nice one!!!! Rooms are very nice, nicely decorated but a bit awkward configuration. Includes a private small pool and a big breakfast! The best thing it’s the concierge 24/7 service. People and staff are always looking into how to make your stay better!!! They are great!! Quite new and taxis may note yet know where it is, but easily found in maps."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Datong City Center?
The best time to visit Datong City Centre is during spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is mild and pleasant.

During these months, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, which is ideal for exploring the city's outdoor attractions like the Huayan Temple and the Datong City Wall without the extreme heat of summer or the cold of winter. The clear skies in autumn also offer excellent conditions for photography, especially of the Yungang Grottoes just outside the city centre.

Couples looking for a comfortable and enjoyable trip will appreciate these seasons. The milder weather allows for relaxed strolls through the historic parts of the city and comfortable day trips to nearby sites. It's also a good time to experience local festivals, which sometimes occur in these seasons, adding a cultural layer to your visit.

Travellers who prefer to avoid crowds might find early spring or late autumn particularly appealing, as the peak tourist season is usually in the summer.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Datong City Center hotel for you.
