'View to The Blue' is an apartment on the ground floor of a converted Victorian town house. It delivers one of the best views in Kingswear! Sit and relax on the private terrace and watch the comings and goings on the River Dart (boats mooring in the marina down below, the Paddle Steamer, passenger ferries, cruise ships & even the odd super yacht). The steam train passes by too. Private terrace and no shared spaces in the property. With no hills to climb you'll be 5 minutes walk to the pub and cafe as well as the car and passenger ferries. It's also the perfect location for the coastal path. During the summer months there is sun on the side of the terrace in the morning and then it slowly fills the entire area and doesn't disappear behind Dartmouth until 8:45 in the evening. The space has a large luxurious kitchen with everything you could ever need. The main room has a large window with big comfy sofa which gives you 'The view to The Blue' with a dinning table in the window area. A new large contemporary bathroom with large decent shower & plenty of room. From the large terrace at the front there is only the marina between you and the water. View to The Blue is exactly what it says. Located in the heart of Kingswear just 100m from the River Dart, the terrace has a 180 degree view of the river and Dartmouth where the pubs, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions can be seen from the comfort of the sofa on a rainy day. The apartment has a large sofa and king size bed with memory foam mattress, white cotton bed linen and we also provide 2 bath towels and hand towels. To get you started we also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk sachets, toilet roll, washing up liquid, hand wash, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Gorgeous flat, comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated. It has lots of lovely personal touches and is well thought out and well equipped. Amazing views across the marina to Dartmouth and lovely terrace. Sadly the pub and coffee shop were being refurbished and the shop is quite limited, but we enjoyed walking down to the ferry and crossing over to Dartmouth. No shortage of places to shop/eat there. We couldn’t get off street parking, but parked for the week in the Marina car park, right opposite the flat - approx £45 and no hassle - would recommend. 'View to the Blue' is a lovely, cosy and well appointed apartment overlooking the River Dart and Dartmouth. As someone else has already commented, the photos do not do this place justice. We stayed here for ten days in August and had a wonderful time. The location in Kingswear was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. The apartment had everything we needed and the dedicated parking space was a welcome bonus. The bathroom has an excellent shower and while the living area is small it seems much bigger because of the large windows and balcony overlooking the river. You can sit on the balcony or sofa and just watch the ever changing view over the Dart. There's so much going on and watching the steam train coming and going was lovely. There is so much to do and Dartmouth has some wonderful places to eat. The Seahorse, Rockfish and Beth's for breakfast were highlights for us. The Steam Packet pub, a five minute walk from the apartment also serves excellent food with great views. Matthew has thought of everything when setting this place up it has been decorated beautifully & very tastefully. Everything you need is in the property and then there is that view!!! Based on the owners' instructions the apartment was easy to find. It is very well appointed and tastefully decorated and is an ideal base for a couple when visiting this part of Devon. Undoubtedly it's best feature is the wonderful view over the estuary and with good weather the use of the balcony which given its shape has a south/south westerly aspect. Loved being in Kingswear and getting the ferry across to Dartmouth with some great places to eat and shop! Nice Pizzas at the local pub, friendly people where ever we went.
