The establishment is run under the ethos of promoting empathy especially for North Korean refugees. It is very cheap yet everything is so clean and generally available, including washing machines, computers, study rooms, etc. They provide you with clean linen but you have to make your own bed with it. They even give you complimentary coffee at the lobby. Breakfast is also free and consists of toast, jam, coffee and boiled eggs. Great location (in the middle of the city and downtown) and great staff. ##### Verified traveller ### 8/10 Good #### Verified traveller Feb 21, 2016 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### 立地は最高、部屋も広め 私が滞在したときは改装中で１、２階がない状態でしたのでこのゲストハウスを正しく評価できないと思いますが、現状での感想を書かせていただきます。 まず場所は地下鉄の中央路駅の出口から徒歩３分ほどと便利、薬令市へも徒歩３分ほどですが、個人的には中央路駅の反対側の繁華街が近いことの方にメリットを感じました。散策して楽しいのは後者でしょう。また私は海印寺へ行ったので使ってませんが、八公山へ行くバス停も徒歩５分くらいのところにあります。 私の滞在中はラウンジと呼べる空間はあってないような状態で、受付兼ラウンジ？は客室の５０２号室を改造して作られてました。日本語で書かれた案内書を渡されるのは便利ですが、それによると本来は洋式の朝食が提供されるようですが、滞在中はトースターは置いてあったものの、カップヌードルを勧められました。実際コンロのない客室で卵料理を作るのは無理ですので、カップヌードルはやむなしでしょう。珈琲はミルク・砂糖入りのスティックしか選べません。個人的には好きですのでいいですが。 滞在中は朝食時間の朝７時まで５０２号室は施錠され、館内に職員はいない状態でした。 改装後はたぶん１階に広々としたカフェのようなラウンジができ、快適な滞在ができることでしょう。 余談ですが、中央路の宿への最寄りの出口から徒歩３０秒くらいのバス通り沿いに”ほか弁”があり、買えば二階で食事をすることができ、ここが最も安上がりでしょう。日本にありがちな弁当が中心で韓国らしさに乏しいですが、チゲ＋ご飯系もあり、これを頼めば韓国らしい食事を安価に楽しめます。二階席のカウンターからはバス通りを見下ろせるので、観光気分を盛り上げながらの食事も可能です。 部屋でＷｉ－Ｆｉを使えることになっており、２系統ありますが片方は繋がらず、片方はしょっちゅう切れるのでストレスフルでした。特に夜の１０時から１２時は使い物になりません。夜中でも安定して使えず、遅いなと思ったら必ず切れている有様でした。メールチェックならできましたので最悪ではなかったですが。 ##### Verified traveller ### 10/10 Excellent #### Ryan D, Calgary Jul 1, 2015 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Great guest house!! Empathy is one of the best places I have stayed. The staff are friendly, even on occasion inviting me to participate in the hotel BBQ and other events. The hostel is very close major shopping and eating areas and not far from anything in particular in Daegu. Staff are helpful always and there are many staff so someone is always around.
