Generally very good, however there was a few disappointing things such as the bed wasn't particularly comfortable, the room was a bit small and tired, the black pudding at breakfast wasn't cooked properly (it was like rubber), also olive oil and balsamic should not be pre-mixed let people adjust the ratio to their taste. The staff were very good and the location is very good.

We received a really warm welcome and were given beautiful, immaculately clean and warm room. The restaurant staff were super attentive and dinner and breakfast were delicious. I would 100% recommend this place.

Our first trip to Cromer! The weather was horrible which made staying in our room at the Grove even more inviting. We were in room 6 for the night. The room is very tastefully decorated with all old charms on the walls, beautiful large windows with plenty of light. It all felt very Bridgerton like and cosy ! We didn’t have breakfast booked so can’t comment on that but check in was smooth. Plenty of parking, great location near the town. Will definitely return.

Did a 1 night stay here in December for work reasons. Hotel & room were brilliant, Clean & very comfortable. Staff on arrival & departure were really friendly & welcoming. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great location. Friendly staff. Good food and drink choices. Site is lovely with lots of space to sit and enjoy scenery. The room was basic, which would have been fine had it not been let down by poor house keeping. Beds and towels were changed and that was it. There was an orange film on shower tray which we scrubbed off. There was a goo under soap the whole time. Glasses which were used and dirt in first day remained in room dirty the whole time. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed as the same piece of white tissue/fluff remained throughout. The furniture was old and cheap (not to be confused with a nice classic antique furniture, which would suit this style of property). There is a piece of floorboard missing at corner of bed by the door, with only carpet to stop you falling through. Outside the room was clean and tidy. This is room 9.

I arrived late afternoon, check in was very easy to find I’d also had an upgrade on my room, I didn’t dine with them as I met a colleague in town, however I enquired if I could have a take away breakfast as I needed to be away early again this was swiftly sorted- great place to stay.

Very friendly staff. Warm cozy room. Well stocked bathroom - shower gel, shampoo, hand lotion, shower cap. Nice selection of teas and coffee in the room plus shortbread. A couple of areas could benefit from attention - some of furniture was a bit shabby, shower pressure was very low and oscillated between unbearably hot and tepid. Plenty of parking but there was no real guidance or convention as to the orientation/areas to park in. None of these were major issues. Lovely house and grounds.

A lovely hotel in beautiful grounds with friendly, helpful staff. The room was perfect for our needs as a family of 4: clean, comfortable and peaceful. Having the swimming pool to ourselves was an added bonus. We’ll be back!

A lovely spot

Unfortunately, as my trip was work related, I had to leave too early for a leisurely breakfast. Fabulous grounds, a great location and, having eaten in the restaurant in the past, good food. Miserable weather which made the room a little chilly on arrival. I hope to stay again at more leisure.

Cromer cottage stay just ok

We stayed in one of the cottages. It is tired but clean and tidy ok for one night. Comfy bed but the heating wasn’t on when we arrived and was very cold took a bit to heat up. Expensive and won’t stay again

Overall a nice property with friendly staff in a good easily walkable location to the seafront and shops bars there. It has a nice bar and does good food in the restaurant and the general areas were well kept. What let it down for me was the room we had was lacking in that there was very poor water pressure in the shower, tv didn’t work, minimal hanging space and generally tired. They do have different types of rooms however and we were staying in what I think was the oldest part of the property so it’s entirely possible other rooms are not lacking in these things. Overall though we enjoyed the stay and would probably go back, but in a different part of the property perhaps.

Nice but expected a bit more

The stay was fine, a few minor things left me feeling less positive. 2 of the walls were dirty with some kind of splashes, not hugely visible but once you've seen it.... The room including the bathroom floor and shower were old and worn - not old in the lovely historical way but swollen laminate and drippy shower. There was a particularly loud gentleman nearby and I could hear all of his conversations through the walls. I loved the history of the room in the guide, soft bed, lovely arm chair to sit by the window and read. It's a beautiful location and the staff were nice but for the price I expected a bit more.

Almost Perfect

Perfect location quiet and secluded, perfect for joy having any foot traffic cars etc to disturb our dogs. Only 2 bad things that can be fixed easily is- • TV in Bedroom is size of a postage stamp. • The tree needs to be cut back a lot to Allow sun in the garden (advertised picture is not true representation of sunlight) Prevent birds/pigeons pooping 💩 everywhere when trying to relax in garden. We like to have our breakfast outside and on a return from a walk to have tea or an evening drink relaxing, but there was too much poop. And I suppose it could do with some new paint to make it brighter in doors, and saying goodbye to that dark green paint in the lounge. For a short break it’s perfect for us.
