Crawley is a bedroom community for London, as is the whole South East of England these days.. The shops and restaurants are mostly the same you will find everywhere, but there are some good pubs well worth visiting.
Didn't explore Crawley, just needed a place to sleep so I can't comment about Crawley.
Its a small quaint town close to the airport. I felt safe and the shopping was good.
We like the Arora Hotel with its modern convenience and access to London Gatwick and family. Crawley has some nice pubs, a grocery store closeby and the Leisure Centre and Cinema
