Bring the family pets along too as the home will accept up to 2 dogs! Beds: 3 Kings (2 Masters), 1 Queen, 1 Pyramid Bunk Set with Trundle, 1 Day Bed; 12 Towel Sets provided ENTRY LEVEL: The traditional floor plan offers a living area with comfortable seating and a built-in sideboard to one side has a mini fridge for storing extra beverages. The dining area has a table that seats 8\. Family dinners can be prepared in the kitchen with a small island. The laundry area is on this floor and a half bath. The first King Master Suite has deck access and a shower with a separate tub in its master bath. Step outside to the screened porch at the back of the house for more room to relax and enjoy the outdoor setting. \[Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.\] TOP LEVEL: A sitting area at the top of the stairs has a Day bed if extra sleeping arrangements are needed. A King bedroom has a private deck and there is a shared bath (shower/tub combo) in between another bedroom for children which has a Pyramid Bunk Set (twin over double) with a Trundle; this bedroom also has a private deck. The third bedroom has a Queen bed which has access to a hall bath with a shower (no picture). A small stairway connects to a separate King Master Suite with a shower in its master bath. GROUND LEVEL: The garage has been converted into a game area which will be a great place for kids to hang out. At back of the house, the large pool deck has room for lounging and sunning. The private pool measures 16' x 30' (open June-August; pool heat available for an additional fee). There is also a hot tub for the adults to enjoy. A gas grill is available for easy summer meals. There is parking in the driveway for 3-4 vehicles in driveway. EXTRAS: As guests within The Currituck Club, a premier-gated community and resort, your family can use its various amenities including free trolley service to the beach access and beach valet service (summer months only), a Clubhouse with on-site dining, a large community pool with kiddie pool at the main entrance, a Fitness Center, and courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball and pickleball. There are planned kids' activities offered during the summer and paths for walking and bike riding. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The fridge could have been cleaner. Nice pool with good selection of floats. We did have to buy quiye a bit of basics. I've never stayed in a rental that didn't have laundry supplies, toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, coffee filters, salt and pepper and even hand soap. This pool was one of the largest we noticed in our area. We had hours of fun swimming in the pool and enjoying the pool deck and screened-in porch. Our walks to the beach were pleasant and the trolley service was great amenity. I would highly recommend this home, pool, and neighborhood for family vacations. ##### Lori W. Absolutely loved the pool. The hot tub was a little disappointing, had only one jet that worked. Screened back porch was nice for watching pool activity and also to sit out on at night & relax. The outside lights above "garage door" on corner and on each side did not work, so wasn't light for driveway area at night when going to or coming from cars or taking out garbage. Plenty of space for parking in driveway. Liked that Trolley picked us up at end of driveway to go to beach. Very nice community. Overall was very pleased with this rental house. First things first: the house is a gem. It gets 5 stars. Clean, spacious, well-stocked, and many wonderful surprising spaces. The pool is far bigger than it looks on the pictures. The back covered porch overlooks it and was a wonderful place for grandparents and children meals and conversations. The club provided good opportunities for us to play basketball and volleyball. The beach was packed with people. It gets 2-3 stars. And the water hovered between 71-76 degrees. If that works for you, good. For me, anything under 75F in a beach is freezing. Waves were strong but the lifeguard was always present and provided great details about riptides and H2O conditions. ##### Fabio H. Screened in porch was nice to keep an eye on the kids while swimming. Bedrooms more than accommodated our party of ten with a mix of two sets of parents, grandmother, teens and small kids. We felt we could have fit another family with us. Place was clean and well organized. Beautiful hardwood floors on main living area. The gated community was also a plus. The trolley was just as convenient as driving to the beach. Close to restaurants and shopping. Our only bad experience was with the pool guy. Showed up after we checked in and made everyone wait to get into the pool. Was rude both times we had to deal with him. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. We had a great week.
