Grab the family and drive your four wheel drive type vehicle to the edge of the pavement, shift into that four wheel drive or the AWD that you don't use enough, and set out for your family adventure up the beautiful sandy coast of eastern North Carolina. Experience the beach like it used to be for our great grandparents, wide open and free. \*\*WARNING; After coming to this beach, every other beach you visit in your life will probably feel "crowded"\*\* This area is also home to multiple bird sanctuaries and home to the wild Corolla horses, North Carolina's official state horses. These horses are believed to be descendants of wild mustangs brought over from Europe many, many years ago. They are absolutely beautiful animals and roam the area at will. Note: We hate added fees that some houses like to add at the end. We have heard from our past guests that they also hate these fees. Please keep that in mind when comparing houses. Linens, maintenance, cleaning, pool, and pet fee are already included. No nickle and diming here. We also rent Saturday to Saturday in the summer (May to September) so we can help as many families as possible enjoy the beach. Our house is located about 7 miles up the coast from the end of the pavement along one of the widest areas of beach in the area. We chose this lot because it is highly elevated and gives great ocean views from all decks. When you arrive at the house you will enjoy all the modern amenities of today plus some. This elevated semi-oceanfront (one lot back) home features eight bedroom (4 Master King Ocean view bedrooms, 2 Master Queen Ocean view Bedrooms, 2 Duo bunk Bedrooms). There will be no fighting over bathrooms as every room has its own master bath. (This saves so much tension when travelling with extended family or friends. We included this when custom designing the house as I believe this is a must have.) All the king and queen rooms also have direct access to deck with ocean views. ( Another must have with large groups. ) The sunrise is literally just outside your door. The large kitchen will make any Chef smile with joy with an over sized double oven, two dishwashers, two refrigerator/freezers and a wine fridge. Two icemakers for those frozen drinks also. When is the last time you cooked and had views of the Atlantic Ocean just out the window? No better coffee brewing view around:) The dining room is very well sized with seating for the entire family with windows that allow you to watch the sunset over the woodlands to the west. Bring some popcorn, because the kids will absolutely enjoy movie night with the family in your own personal big screen theater room. It can get pretty intense and loud though if watching sporting events. Mom and dad will love having the private pool and hot tub to relax in with the family without worrying about sharing it with anyone else. No community pool here! This house was built with the sole purpose of making family memories that last. The beach is a short walk down an unimproved easement directly in front of the house or we always hop in the car and tailgate for the day. Hanging out at the beach with the family is sooo much fun. There is some limited parking for a family member or two that do not have a four wheel drive vehicles for a nominal charge about 8 miles from the house. The beach and house are also very pet friendly. We absolutely hate pet fees and don't charge extra to bring you canine family member. Sorry, but no cats allowed. Pool is open March thru October. Please note all maintenance and cleaning fees are included. Once you visit, we truly believe you will be back like many of our previous guests. Even if you do not rent our house, you need to experience this area sometime in your life. Driving on the beach is the only way to beach for us after this trip, it was so convenient. We saw wild horses every day and it was pretty cool. Little kids went nuts each time. Having two fridges, two dish washers, a large pantry, and a wine fridge was great!! Tons of space for everything. Bring hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap!! There is none at the house.We did have some minor disappointments; we felt like the listing photos were a bit outdated after getting to the property. There’s been a lot of new houses built since the pictures were taken so the views of the ocean are more obstructed than we expected. We had a small issue with a tub not draining, we messaged maintenance like the instructions said but had no response. House had everything and more, theater room was a great addition, we enjoyed it when the weather didn’t cooperate. We saw horses everyday on both the beach and the house. House was clean and had plenty of space for the whole family. He was very gracious in providing instructions on the property and the surrounding area. This location felt magical, with wild horses walking around the home and dolphins playing near the beach. We liked the tips from Tracy regarding driving on the beach. The pool and hot tub was nice especially when we couldn’t swim in the ocean. We saw horses right in the yard! Everyone loved having their own bathroom. The wild horses visited the yard at least 3 different days. They were so beautiful. The drive in gave us some trouble but driving in the beach was an awesome experience. It was worth it to be on a semi private beach not open to everyone. We would definitely come back to this location. You need to make sure you air down your tires at least to half way to be able to drive and we didn’t know that at first. After a few minor issues that the owner and the maintenance company took care of quickly, we had a great week. The house accommodated our needs perfectly for our family. The availability of toys and baby items was a real plus for our littles. Beach driving was an experience everyone should have and the location made the stay so very peaceful. Our week had so many days of nice weather that we got to spend a lot of time on the beach, which was conveniently close to the house. As the description mentions, you have amply space to spread out. Tracy was great to work with and made checking in and out a breeze. The memories we made during our stay will last a lifetime, but hope that it won’t be our last visit to Carova Beach! ##### Kayla M.
