  • Welcome to Yeti V, a beautifully decorated semi-oceanfront home just steps from the sandy beaches of Corolla. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac with beach access directly across the street, you're less than 50 yards from the ocean—an easy walk for beach days with family and friends.

    This home is ideally situated in the heart of Corolla, just one mile from Harris Teeter, the Currituck Club golf course, and close to popular restaurants, shopping, and family-friendly activities.

    Inside, Yeti V offers a comfortable coastal design with stylish updates throughout. The top-level living area is perfect for relaxing and entertaining, featuring an 85-inch TV with Sonos sound system and a chef's kitchen with quartzite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and custom cabinetry. Step onto the expansive deck to enjoy beautiful sunset views under string lighting.

    This home is designed with families in mind, offering entertainment for every age. Perfect Family Getaway

Wow!!! We loved this house & property. Plus this is a prime location to the beach, stores & attractions. They thought of everything, plenty of things for both the kids & adults. All you need is your clothes and a beach towel! Short walk to a beautiful beach, picture perfect sunsets and the pool area was a ton of fun. We loved the layout of the house with lots of room for everyone to spread out. Can't forget to mention 3 beautiful bathrooms. A total dream vacation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such an amazing week at Yeti V as normal! We love all the upgrades the owners made and enjoy every moment here. It truly is our home away from home. We've have rented this home for several years and hope to do so for several more. Our hot tub was out of commission from Tuesday and still not fixed by the time we left, but no fault of the owners as a third party handles that. The closeness to the beach is a huge plus for us and little kids to make the trip back for lunch or to cool off in the pool for a while.

Only issues we had were the bathroom fan in the master bathroom ran 24/7. You could turn it off and it would turn back on a few minutes later. When using certain appliances, the lights would flicker including in the rooms which was hard with the kids & there was no broom!!!! We searched everywhere for a broom so we could sweep up messes and found only vacuum cleaner and a mop. My kids spilled some chips outside and it was a real inconvenience not having a broom. Other than that, the house was great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite the weather in Corolla last week our vacation was great. This was our second year renting Surf's up. Its a great location and the kids loved the pool! I would highly recommend adding a hot tub to the property. It would fit nicely next the the shower stalls in that corner. It would be a nice addition especially for people who come early in the season, or have a particular cold week like we did. We did call the rental agency as there was ripped and molded shower liners, that just looked disgusting, and the stepping pad in the upstairs shower was molded too. They told us that the cleaning crew would bring us new liners, but that never happened. I also inquired about the matresses being replaced and was told that they would be replaced last year and the upstairs queen had not been replaced. It was hard as a rock. Had I known, I would have brought a memory foam topper. All in all we had a great time and loved the house. Just a few upgrades or additions would really make it amazing. My kids spent a lot of time in the outdoor shower after swimming because it was so cold. Can't wait for next year!!

We probably spent most of our time at the house in the awesome backyard. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, pavilion, and games. By far the best backyard we’ve ever rented in a house. We were blessed with awesome Summer weather which allowed us to utilize all the fun the Yeti V offers. The bedrooms were roomy and had comfortable beds. The linens were nice and clean. Bathrooms very updated and spacious. The kitchen has literally everything you could need to make meals at the house. Comfy living room furniture with plenty of board games to play. The large TVs makes for nice relaxing after a busy day. Parking was plentiful. Location was perfect with gorgeous views and easy to reach beach access. Quiet and private feeling neighborhood. For the most part the house was clean, just not much attention was put into vacuuming the floors on all levels or the toilet on the middle level hall bathroom. Otherwise, the house was very well kept. The owners surprised us with an awesome and thoughtful gift during our stay which was left for us in an adorable gift box with a sweet little thank you note. Beach Realty was very easy to work with. We loved the ease of check-in since we didn’t have to head to their office to do so, we simply entered the door password and we were home! We had contacted them via text message the day after our arrival for batteries for the remote for the living room ceiling fan and minutes later a maintenance technician came and installed them for us. Beach Realty has an app that explained all the things we needed for our stay and sent message updates throughout our stay. We would definitely rent the Yeti V again and work with Beach Realty.

Pleasant stay

Overall an excellent experience. We were contacted to go ahead and check in however cleaning people were still there. Everything was nice and maintained. Would recommend it. Very close to the beach. Accessibility via stair ramp about a 2 minute walk. Excellent pool area with hot tub and cabana. Rooms are smaller than the pictures make them appear. Nice interior. Outside/ siding would look better with a new paint job. Overall would highly recommend.

Wonderful

We really enjoyed the home and its location. The backyard pool area was excellent and our family loved the corn-hole, hot tub, and just relaxing in the comfortable space. Inside, the house is very well maintained and the common area is open and very comfortable. Perfect for family gatherings. And the distance to the beach was just steps away! We definitely recommend this home!

House seems to have been updated recently with great new kitchen and well decorated. Plenty of space for 2 families. Paid for early check-in and was worth it! At the pool/on the beach by 1pm on the first day! Only issues-we had to clean some when we arrived and there was some garbage under 2 of the beds and the decking (although power washed and clean) is in rough shape (broken off rusty nails and loose boards)

Fantastic value

We were really pleased with the home. The sand path to the beach is right out the door so it was easy to go back and forth to the ocean with our little ones as needed. For rainy days, I was impressed with the televisions and all the streaming services available. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the grocery stores were so close it was easy to make delicious meals. The backyard was a great little oasis. Our little guy loved the yard games they provided and the heated pool allowed us to swim everyday. Highly recommend.

The green house

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The first night while trying to bake a pizza the oven blew up it took 3 days to fix it. The steps in the house were small and I fell down the stairs hurting my foot and could hardly walk on it all week. Two of my sons also fell down the stairs but did not get hurt. The internet did not work but was fixed very quickly. The washer quit work with a load of laundry in it and I had to take the clothes out by hand. Things started working okay and Friday the last day two smoke alarms started going off and would not stop. They sent someone over and thought they had fixed it but they started ringing again. The house was nice the beds were a little hard and there was one filter that was really dirty in the top living room. The chairs in the dinning room had like a varnish on them and if you sit to long in them they stuck to your clothes.

Lucky we had brought our own. A quick note saying hey here is where they are located The microwave took a few minutes to understand the operation. Instructions might be nice for future guestsMostly it was the hard mattresses. Thought about buying a air mattress or memory foam. The most bearable would be the bunk bed however no Tv in that room. Not ocean front at all. Should be listed as ocean view. Still enjoyed it overall. Wish it had been warmer. A freak cold spell prevented any pool time

The exterior of the house is kept up pretty well. The interior is in dire need of new furniture and bedding. Since we have been coming there for 10+ years, we know these items have NOT been updated although several reviews other than mine show that they need updating. Everything works but just not great. Ice maker, stove, microwave, dryer all on the slow side. Just need replaced. We were there in May so hoping all works through this busy season. We will be looking for another property for next year which is sad. We love Surf's Up, it's location and the pool. But the inside just needs attention.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Surf's Up location is excellent. The house is nice but a bit dated. We loved the open floor plan on the third floor with the two decks. We were disappointed in the number of chairs on the main deck and no chairs at all on the deck off of the master bedroom. The other big disappointment was the bed on the first floor which was not usable. The pool was great and so nice to have all the chairs and even some toys for our grandchildren. The pack-n-play was a nice touch. If the mattress would be replaced and more deck furniture added we would consider renting this house again.

Reviewer Comments: It was our first time heading out to OBX so we really had no idea what to expect.The house is close enough to Duck for a day visit and just around the corner from Corolla main shopping area. Bike riding, groceries and ABC were just a mile or two away which was great!The house is just a few steps from the walkway towards the beach but you better like steps to get over the sand dune. Partial beach view from the third floor deck was awesome!The house was great and previous reviews were spot on (firm mattresses, smoke detector constantly beeping, etc..). I wish the owner(s) would put some work on the pool area since the deck has sunk a bit since it was built, the picnic table is very much rusted and the mat on the door is pretty disgusting. The only other thing was the grill being in very bad shape. It is rusted, missing parts and I definitely wouldn't call it a grill (Its a small Weber)The multiple puzzles around the house were a hit with family along with the Wii. We didnt have any problems with hot water, laundry or dish washer so I guess previously mentioned problems have been addressed.

Location!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay here. Cannot beat the location, just one house away from the private beach access. The pool is perfect and there was plenty of space for our group of 11. The value for the cost is wonderful here. The cleaning service was very busy and did not get to this home until 5:00 pm on check-in day, so that was inconvenient. The house in general could use some updates. Some of the doors (especially top floor door to the balcony/stairs) were very hard to open. The top floor bed in particular was very uncomfortable, as was the wicker furniture in the family room. The decking and stairs caused some splinters on 3 different children! We still enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to families or groups looking for a convenient vacation home.

Great house but time for updates!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Thankfully the week before we left for vacation I realized the pool was being closed on 9/2. Would of never thought a pool at the beach would be closed before labor day! I had to pay 100.00 extra to keep it open. We got there on 9/3 50+ mph winds and rain. Computers and phones down at rental agency. Expected delays due to storm. Couldn't get into house until after 4 so I'm getting refund for early check in. Had fun waiting, went to see beach and water. Never saw the ocean like that before! And the water was swept out on the bay side! I knew the house wasn't cleaned yet but they let us go in. The people before us left it a mess. Food in frige, dirty linens on beds and didn't sweep floors. Cleaning girl came later in evening and did a great job. I like staying in this house because it's so close to the beach. Last time was 4 years ago. Nothing has been updated since. Cushions on furniture are flat and worn , mattresses need replaced, very uncomfortable. Some kitchen items need replaced (bowls,pans). We couldn't get on the beach till tuesday, the waves were coming in up to the dunes! Then the flies came Wednesday! No more beach days til Friday! Stayed at pool most of week. Had fun cleaning the sand out!(didn't get cleaned til Tuesday) Went on a Vineyard/boat tour,had a good time! Overall it was a good week spending it with family. Delays understandable due to the storm, but the house needs updated. I'm glad we were in a lower rental week. Not worth full rental price till updated! Great location and nice pool.

It was tree story house which was clean, uncluttered, with several activities which allowed my family to spend time together. The bed were comfortable and the kitchen was well stock with cook ware. The view was great from the living/kitchen, dinning room was great. The price of the weekly rent was a benefit. The negatives were that it took us almost six hours to dry one load of clothes and even though the house had four bathroom we were furnished with only two roles of toilet paper. The pool was closed since my stay was in off season. Also the kitchen is on the third floor so you had your food up three floors; however, I would recommended the home and would stay in the future.

Our only suggestion would be to recommend new mattresses in both the bedroom on the lower level ( by pool) and the queen bed upstairs outside of the kitchen . Sleeping on either resulted in a sore back the following day.. However the unit itself was clean, comfortable, and roomy-- we LOVE beach realty ??

Reviewer Comments: My family has been renting Surf's Up on and off for around 13 years.We had voiced our concerns with some of the homes need of attention a number of times. We were so glad to see most concerns were addressed. We kept returning because this home holds a special place in my heart.We originally chose this home to bring my loving mom as she was diagnosed with inoperative cancer.We spent that time with her there as a we obviously love coming each and every time.The only other concerns that need attention is the ac unit. 3 floors ,1 control,frozen 2 nd floor,too hot upstairs and bottom floor.Also not sure when the mattresses have been replaced. Other then that ,the home owners did address most of our concerns.We hope to keep coming back ,now with our 3 growing grandsons who just love being at Surf's Up!
