Welcome to Mahalo! What a great location to spend your beach vacation! This incredible home is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac just a short distance to the beach, tennis (w/fee) and basketball courts, fitness center (w/fee), and two community pools. Your own private pool (16'x32') for more pleasure! It's close to the horse and wildlife sanctuary, the quaint Corolla Village with shops and restaurants, The Whalehead Club, and the famous Corolla Lighthouse. In fact, you can see the Lighthouse from almost every room in the house! Art work, and tons of games for both inside and outside! You will love the quiet feel of the Villages at Ocean Hill, but will also love its accessibility to so much the Outer Banks has to offer. Come and enjoy Mahalo, and you will understand the meaning of it ... Thank You! 433 yards to beach access.

For the most part, we liked the house itself - great location; great layout. Our issues pertain to the pool and, more particularly, the management company. One of the main reasons that we choose this house was because of the pool. Within an hour of our arrival on Saturday, we texted the management company that the pool water was very green and cloudy (we sent them pictures). We reached out again on Sunday and Monday, but each time never got much of an answer and got no action (other than run around) from the management company. Someone finally came to the house on Tuesday to check on the pool - she dumped something into the pool and said it would be cleaned up within three hours. Unfortunately, that didn't work as expected, and it wasn't until early evening on Wednesday that the pool water lost the green color and finally became useable. Once it was finally cleaned, the pool was great. However, it shouldn't have taken 5 days to get to that point.

Mahalo is a must!

This house was perfect for our family! We stay at a beach house every year and this was one of our favorites. The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool was large and the hot tub was wonderful as well. The bikes and beach chairs were an added bonus. We would highly recommend Mahalo.

Relaxing vacation with family

House was pretty nice. Not far from the beach, and comes with parking right on the beach maybe a minute drive away. Pool was amazing. Def the hit of the weekend. Corolla for us is kind of distant from where we prefer, but that’s personal opinion. House had a few minor issues upon arriving, but after a call, was fixed inside of 24 hours. Was clean enough, but far from sparkling clean. Didn’t like the fact I got an email after passing the Duck reality location, saying to come back and grab the parking passes. Mind you, on arrival day with traffic, that can be an hour and a half endeavor to do. That email should be a day earlier so a customer can be aware to grab those passes before getting all the way up to Corolla. We would rent that house again.

Rental review

We had a good time except the air conditioner on the 2nd floor stop working on our first night They had to put window AC in our room and the living room on Sunday and then the AC on the main floor stopped working and they had to put window AC on the 3 rooms… the person who spoke with my husband told him that the AC was scheduled to be replaced… this should have been done before we came especially since this was a very expensive rental… also hated the carpet, it looked dirty …… they should just change it to hardwood …

Everything listed above, house , location, etc,etc was perfect.

We would do it again. Our family especially enjoyed the house being fully furnished, and clean. Family consisted of three children and spoused ages from 54 to 63, plus my wife and me ages 80 and 83. If we do it again next year it will be with an elevator..

Family Vacation

We loved 🥰 being together and this house met all of our needs…. Loved each bedroom with own baths. The distance to the beach was better than expected and having pass for car was great.. Now there are a few things you may want to correct….. the refrigerator downstairs did not get very cold. The dryer took a long time to dry even with lint removed…. Would stay again but really recommend leaving by 6 am or sooner on your day of departure!

2020 Family Vacation

This house was awesome. My whole family enjoyed themselves and we ranged in age from 72 to 1 1/2 years of age. The beach is not as close as I imagined but there is a beach access parking area and the older ones in our family drove there which was great. We had one slight hiccup with the Wi-Fi but the owner was very helpful in getting it corrected. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. If we are ever in the Corolla area again we will definitely like to stay at this rental.

Great family place

Very clean place. A nicely stocked kitchen. Listen to what they said, bring toilet paper and paper towels still a shortage. We were able to purchase both but no brand choices. The pool and hot tub were spotless. The beds were comfortable. . No dish towels were a bit bit frustrating. We bought some. Bath towels good quality and were soft and clean. Felt very comfortable and safe in the house. This was our second year renting it and we would rent it again. Dog friendly was important to us. Response was rental agency with questions was immediate and friendly.

Great vacation

House was well kept overall. Pool was beautiful. Location was nice and quiet but close to beach. My only recommondation would be to have a stand and umbrella by the pool because no shade available right at the pool. Listing was accurate. Would rent again. P.S - got to see fourth of July fireworks right from deck which was great. House was dog friendly and my dog loved the neighborhood and decks!

Nice property for a large group

This home had comfortable beds, almost all cooking supplies you could want, short drive or walk to beach, 4 beach chairs and a umbrella, corn hole, books, pool, and hot tub! What more could you want? Oh and friendly neighbors who provide recommendations for dining! It was a home away from home!
