Corfu Regional Unit Vacation Packages

The property was clean and spacious. We booked a 2 room apartment (both rooms are bedrooms one with fridge and sink) with a shared bathroom. The room was cleaned regularly and we had plenty of towels. Some parts were a bit tired but its the end of the season. It was great value for money. The host Alex was very helpful with local information on buses, restaraunts etc. The pool area was great about 10 sunbeds and 4 umbrellas, shaded by trees for part of the day. Very quiet, some days we had it to ourselves. Plenty of lilos to use. The pool bar wasn't open but this didn’t affect us. The property is located across the main Corfu Town road from Gouvia. There are pedestrian crossing so it was easy to the the 10 minute walks to the town or the marina. It is also ideal (2 mins) to the bus stop for either Corfu Town (20 mins, less than 2 euro) or other places on the Island. We took a 1 hour trip to Agois Geogios for 6 euro. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Sauna in the spa didn’t work. The à la carte restaurant wasn’t possible to utilise as the 2 nights we were there, for one of them it rained and the second night we didn’t book a table in time. Not possible either to book onto Pilates or the yoga as we didn’t do it in time, and the timetable was incorrect.

A peaceful beachfront all-inclusive resort We had a very enjoyable week at Ella Alkyna and would happily stay again. It is one of the few European resorts combining adults-only, all-inclusive and a beachfront location. The atmosphere was relaxed and not a party scene. Most guests were couples and mature adults who kept to themselves but were friendly. The resort is beautiful, with a clean beach, great pools and lovely views. Our clean room had a sunset-view balcony, large comfortable bed, spacious shower, Netflix-enabled TV and kettle. The buffet had plenty of choice, while the included à la carte restaurants were a highlight. We enjoyed excellent three-course Greek and Italian meals. Breakfast became slightly repetitive, but that is normal for a buffet stay. Drinks were unlimited, and the friendly staff happily made whatever we requested. My wife loved her spa treatment. The gym was small but quiet, and check-in and check-out were easy. Minor issues included a toilet smell and the air conditioning making a constant banging noise whenever it was on. The fire-alarm light was also very bright. We did not report these issues. Some guests reserved sunbeds with towels despite this not being allowed, and staff did not enforce the rule. There were also lots of social wasps around, which could be frightening for anyone with a wasp phobia.
