You can enjoy your time walking on the property, having your tea looking at the birds and the pond and enjoying nature. The sunsets are spectacular. The location is close to Bash Bish Falls, Hillsdale and Rodgers Book Barn. You can easily spend time in Great Barrington, attend a play in Stockbridge and explore the whole Berkshire area. If you want a quiet area where you can watch the sun set from chairs on the outside patio and watch the stars come out, this is it. My partner and I stayed here for the weekend as we had activities planned in town/the nearby area- but we almost wish we spent more time JUST relaxing at the house. We were able to have a campfire one night and the view was incredible, I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many stars and it was so quiet! The view from the front of the house is also breathtaking. It’s such a beautiful home, inside and out. Very clean, the couch and bed were super comfortable. Had all the basic appliances we needed. One thing I only wish would have been available was a freezer. The host was also super supportive and responsive. The location was reasonable as well as it’s close to town where there’s restaurants/small stores. Inside, bring an eye mask as the shades will not block out much sun, if you are more than one person bring an extra bath tower or two, toilet paper was one ply. No tissues No freezer. Owner apologized for missing our request for an orientation to restaurants and attractions in the area. Internet did not work on the third and fourth day. All that being said, we really enjoyed our stay because the area is just gorgeous. We came for the Perseid meteor shower and the sky was dark.
