Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Do not book with this company. The communication is atrocious. Messages via Wotif (but it turned out VRBO was the booking platform) claimed to give a link to check in information but the link was broken. After requesting details they asked for the usual check in info eg passport details, and assured me the check in information would be sent after this - it was not. I arrived at the accommodation at the check in time of 4 pm after several unanswered messages and phone calls in the hope that check in information would be sent - it was not. Stranded with no accommodation access for an hour after the designated check in time, I had no choice but to book alternative accommodation. I sent the host a message advising that I had contacted VRBO and was seeking a refund due to failure of the host to facilitate check in. Some check in information was sent over 1.5 hours later with no acknowledgment of prior attempts to contact - by that time I didn’t bother opening it and have since tried to access it out of curiosity in attempting to seek a refund with no success. I am still working through the process of seeking a refund over week later. VRBO have been unhelpful and I won’t be booking with them again either. VRBO stated they have contacted the host who claimed that I checked in so will not give a refund - this is obviously an outright lie. I have corniced the host again with no response. Do not waste your time or money here. There are many other great places in Como.
