This apartment is furnished in a modern style, and the light tones of the decorations will give you a sense of peace and lightness. Furthermore, the large windows make this apartment particularly bright and airy, offering a beautiful view of the hills of Brunate. ADDITIONAL INFO The apartment can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a comfortable double bedroom, a living area with a fully equipped kitchen - including an induction stove and dishwasher, and a living room with a sofa bed, as well as a bathroom with a shower. Additionally, the apartment is equipped with a washing machine, electric shutters, air conditioning, and free wi-fi. EXTRAS In this property, pets are allowed upon request and at an additional cost to ensure allergy-free cleaning. Baby beds are available at an extra cost. ACCESSIBILITY The apartment is located on the third floor and is easily accessible with the lift. PARKING The historical center of Como is mainly a pedestrian area. The nearest parking is available in Viale Lecco, about 200 meters from the apartment. You can park your car only within the blue stripes. Pay time is from 8 am to 8 pm. Pay at the machine and get the ticket to be put on the dashboard inside your car, or use the “EasyPark” app. There are also paid parking garages nearby: “JASCA” in nearby Piazza Volta, “CENTRO LAGO” with an entrance in Via Recchi, \\"VALDUCE” in Viale Lecco, and \\"TRIBUNALE” in Via Auguadri. NEIGHBORHOOD The property is in the historic center of Como - a lively area with modern bars, restaurants, and shops as well as historical churches and buildings. Everything is a short walk away. GETTING AROUND The main sightseeing objects, Lake Como, and train stations are just a walking distance away from the apartment. In the city of Como and nearby towns, ASF Autolinee buses are in operation. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (bus station in Piazza Matteotti in Como, bars, and tobacco stores). Taxis are also available. From the pier, a local ferry service will take you to Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website. From Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a train connection to Milano Cadorna. The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost. TIPS \>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas. \>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must. \>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle! \>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. It connects the little towns from Colonno to Griante. A bus will take you from Como to the starting point in Colonno. \>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes. \>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly. \>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo and a lakeside complex near Villa Geno where you can also go for a little swim in the lake. There is a beach bar, a restaurant, and lifeguards for your safety. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. \>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. The pros: great walkability to good food, stores, and ferry. The automatic shades allowed us to sleep in total darkness for full rest. Communication with the host was great.The cons: The hot water is actually lukewarm; nothing to cook with (spices, oils, etc) so eat out; no coffee so purchase your own ( we did not); check with the host in check out and not on written instructions in the information provided. Séjour de 3 nuits en août 2025 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Leah M. 27 févr. 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Never stay in 3rd party managed vrbo The apartment was average. However, I will never stay again. This was not staying in a home it was staying in an apartment run by a management company. You don’t pay thru vrbo, you pay thru a third party site that tried to add 3% fees for using a us credit card. The management team never answered any of my questions regarding transportation, recommendations, etc thru the vrbo messaging. Check in was crazy. We needed to go pick up the keys which was a 15 min walk from the train station in the opposite direction of the apartment and a 25 min walk from the downtown apartment all while dragging luggage. The apartment has nothing in it to accommodate cooking. No salt, no pepper, no spices, no oil, not enough coffee for a cup per person every morning, etc. The management company did accommodate holding our bags which I am grateful for. However, setting that up beforehand was very difficult because of the lack of response and communication. Slow WiFi. And, although not their fault, the air quality during our trip was terrible. We left a day early because of both the management company and the air quality. ##### Leah M.
