ADDITIONAL INFO The apartment can host 4 guests. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a hydromassage shower, a double bedroom, and a living room with a double sofa bed. Our guests will enjoy the lovely balcony which offers a view of the Duomo of Como. EXTRAS In this property, pets are allowed upon request and at an additional cost to ensure allergy-free cleaning. Baby beds are available at an extra cost. Extra cleaning and linen are available at an additional cost. Transportation can be provided, please contact us! ACCESSIBILITY The apartment is on the top floor of the building. There is an elevator, but an additional flight of stairs will need to be taken to reach the apartment. PARKING There is no private parking, but paid street parking is available. In Via Rezzonico, you can park your car only within the blue stripes. Pay at the machine and get the ticket, or use the \\"EasyPark\\" app. There are also paid parking garages in the city: “VALDUCE” in Viale Lecco, “JASCA” in Piazza Volta, “CENTRO LAGO” with an entrance in Via Recchi, and “TRIBUNALE” in Via Auguadri. HIGHLIGHTS & HOME TRUTHS \>It is possible to unload the luggage just downstairs upon arrival. \>The balcony offers a view of the green dome of the Duomo. \>Central location – to reach the historical city center of Como, one just has to cross the street! NEIGHBORHOOD The property is within walking distance from the busy city life and near the train station. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the lakefront. GETTING AROUND Proximity to Como Nord Lago station will be comfortable for guests arriving by train from Milano Cadorna or Malpensa Airport. From Como San Giovanni station (the other big station in the city), there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). In the city of Como and nearby towns, ASF Autolinee buses are in operation. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (the main bus station in Piazza Matteotti, bars, and tobacco stores). Taxis are also available. However, the historical center, the main sightseeing objects, and the lake are a walking distance away from the property. From the pier in central Como, a local ferry service will take you to Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office. Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website. The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost. TIPS \>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvelous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas. \>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must. \>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle! \>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that connects the lakeside towns from Colonno to Griante and doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno. \>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes. \>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly. \>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is not recommended and is mostly forbidden. There are beaches in other towns. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. \>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. The apartment was very comfortable and clean with a beautiful terrace and a view of the Duomo di Como. The kitchen had all the necessary items for us: a Nespresso coffee maker with pods, and various utensils. The bed was comfortable as well. The shower did the job, but it is very tight inside the shower cabin - just something to consider. Also, after the elevator takes you to the top floor, there is one more flight of stairs - this was not an issue for us but may be useful to future residents. We had a great experience with the host, they answered our questions before our visit, thank you. ##### Kam K.
