This beach house, located in Southwestern Michigan, has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathroom and sleeps up to 16 people. A gravel path leads under a trellis and alongside the house to a beautifully landscaped space. An impressive two-story vaulted stairway winds upwards to three bedrooms with queen-sized beds and two full baths. The Master bedroom is serene and spacious with a Jacuzzi tub. Quiet and tranquil neighborhood across M-63 from Roadside Park. Easy on / off access to I-196, between Exit 7 and 13, or follow M-63 / Blue Star Highway. Ten miles from Saint Joseph, MI (Silver Beach) and 15 miles from South Haven beaches. 30 minutes to Saugatuck. All beach towns offering unique shops, restaurants, great beaches and parks, boat rentals and more. 10 - 15 minute travel time to many local wineries and wedding venues: 12 Corners Vineyard, Blue Dress Barn, Vineyard 2121, etc. We have parking for approx. six vehicles. No RVs or campers. Parking in one side of attached garage is permitted; the other portion is for host storage of household supplies. There is no public transportation near by. The front of the house has 2 cameras to monitor the driveway. There are no cameras in other part of the house. Pet fees: $50 per pet for the entire stay, no more than two pets. Keep pet off our furniture. Let the owner know you are bringing pet prior to check in. There is no door at the steps to go downstairs to the basement. we removed the door to prevent a fall hazard as the door swings open over the stairs. If you are traveling with young children, you may want to bring a hallway safety gate. 11 PM quiet time Some events are allowed, but must be approved by host. Upon our arrival, noted broken front screen door, torn screens on front door and back sliding door, some missing light bulbs or non-working lights. We stayed here to celebrate my 60th birthday. This was a great property and location! Our group was 11 adults and 3 small children and the space worked very well for us. The large deck and hot tub are amazing. A large well-stocked kitchen and plenty of living space. The beach is across the street and a very short walk. Beach is so nice and wasn’t crowded at all. Both St. Joseph (to the south) and South Haven (to the North) are only a short distance away for shopping and restaurants and more beaches. The property was as advertised but with a few minor issues that were undisclosed. They did not make the property unfunctional or less so but would have been nice to know before arrival rather than by discovery after arrival. As a suggestion to make the arrangement of the property more clear, including the bedroom locations and bathroom locations would have been helpful. It all worked out but greeting the sleeping grouping figured out could have been easier knowing the configuration beforehand, The lighted path to the park was nice but again it would have been good to know beforehand that the beach access is through the park and involves a longish steep climb thru soft sand. The house was great for all 15 of us that got together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.we all enjoyed the hot tub and the house was large enough that we didn't feel crowded. I rented this house for my wedding weekend and everyone fell in love with it. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The host was always very responsive and so kind! Check in was quick and easy. It was spacious and clean and fit our group perfectly. We were celebrating my mom's 97th Birthday and this was comfortable for all of us. The hot tub was sparkling clean and huge. Perfect for the rainy day we had. The beach is across the street and easy to get to so we included some beach walks too. The house came equipped with everything we needed to cook a great breakfast and other meals. It was a bit cold but we managed to sit on the decks which have plenty of places to spread out. The house had everything we could have needed and we enjoyed our stay immensely! Nice private bedrooms for all, comfy beds, plenty of space for socializing and a fabulous large hot tub! We unfortunately did not have the greatest weather to enjoy the great deck and outdoor amenities but the house was well appointed and the moms especially loved the cozy fireplace! Jul 9, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Beautiful and Inviting (And One Suggestion) The location of this beautiful home is convenient to many of the local attractions while being in a quiet spot away from the crowds. We stayed here during the 4th of July week, so the area was busy, making the peacefulness of this home a delicious reprieve. We especially loved the back deck, taking many of our meals together there. The lighted walking path to the beach was a treat, and the beach itself was a great mix of sand and pebbles. The climb back up from the beach is steep, so my 75 year-old mom only made the trek once. The rest of us went often and appreciated the sunset views. The only suggestion I would make to a guest is to bring washcloths and maybe an extra hand towel (or to the owner to provide more). We couldn’t find enough for each of us to have one to use. We tried to contact the owner via vrbo messaging to see if there were some we weren’t finding, but we didn’t hear back. However, that was the only time we had trouble reaching her. Otherwise, she was prompt to respond. Another bonus was the generous amount of parking and the use of the garage. Overall, it was a terrific stay! ##### Marlo C. The hot tub is very nice and this house is one block from the beach at Lake Michigan. The house was comfortable and spacious. Only addition which would have been nice would be traditional cable TV or satellite as we had some difficulty accessing local channels to watch sports. We had 15 people there and the bedrooms and kitchen were well fitted to us. The hot tub, grill and fire pit were a large part of our stay.
