This unit is in a quaint old building with an elevator only a short walk to the central train station to visit cinque terre. There is a coffee shop right next door with delicious pastries. There are lots of restaurants and grocery stores a short walk away. Excellent pizzaria across the street. Check in was super easy and great communication with the owner. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is close to the Main Street of the town . Clean room and very good breakfast.

Our view was absolutely stunning, and you won't find a better location! It is steps from the water, steps from a variety of restaurants and shopping, very close to the ferry and train station. We easily parked our car just before Varnazza (they don't allow you to drive in), there is one parking lot that is reasonable and they shuttle you in. Communication with manager is a little challenging. He doesn't respond to email, but will pick up phone and be very pleasant. The directions he gave us to find the place was MUCH more confusing than it needed to be. Walk towards the water after arriving and then the steps are to the left just before the restaurant Il Gambero Rosso, take a right after the stairs. If you see a bar on your left after the stairs you've gone too far. Enter through green door. The room itself is dated, and nothing special, but the location and view, and space in the room all made it worth it to us!

A lovely place and Rebecca was very friendly and helpful. She kept in contact without being intrusive and obviously cares that her guests have a pleasant stay. 100/10 for the sunset views - it is a true westerly view from the balcony. Be aware that the town elevator close to the property is currently out of order so there was quite a climb to the property. I don't say that to be negative, I stand by the 5 stars overall, just be aware because one reason to book this property was the elevator close by. If you're a light sleeper I also recommend ear plugs as the noise from the railway does carry and the announcements continue throughout the night.

Great location between train station and downtown and ferry docks to Portofino, Fruttoso, etc. We based here to explore Cinque Terre, Portofino and Santa Margherita Hotel features an excellent gym, helpful and engaged staff, clean rooms, solid WiFi and seems dog friendly. The property is well maintained and looks much younger and hipper than the 20 years it’s been around. I’d definitely would stay at LHP again. Did not try food or drinks, but breakfast was 30 euros per person.
