The knowledge that it needs to change lifestyles and consumption has let us to cultivate a kitchen garden and orchard The rooms open onto a terrace where you can have your meals and offer and to watch the flight of birds and buzzards often. The kitchen is fully equipped (pots and pans, dishwascher, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, toaster) The washing machine and the dryer are located on the ground floor. The is an iron. It's have a hairdryer. Cocconato is a village that comes alive during the summer, when more and more tourists arrive who want to discover this part of Italy not yet known, but rich in ancient culture and gastronomic tradition. Nobody passes by without tasting a good wine or a traditional meal! In September there is an exhibition-market of our "Cocco wine" wines and on the last Sunday of September there is the Palio degli donkeys, a competitive race through the villages preceded by a parade in medieval costume that recalls the history of the village, the ancient crafts, or moments of the life of the past. Cocconato has Roman origins and the remains of the 10th century Radicati castle are still visible. Cocconato is in the middle of an area rich in Romanesque churches located in nearby locations (Montechiaro, Montiglio, Cerreto S. Fede and Albugnano) being crossed by the paths of the Via Francigena, a road travelled by European pilgrims to reach Rome and the Holy Land. Built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries, they were a resting place during the walk and churches of the small villages that stood on the hills. They all are worth a visit if for no other reason than their always splendid panoramic position. Staying in Cocconato means enjoying the view of the great panoramic spaces that its geographical position allows, looking "beyond"; it means finding oneself during walks in the woods and in the surroundings, it means being amazed at the beauty of the wild blooms that still exist despite industrialization. Cherry, apple, peach and pear trees in bloom leave you speechless. After visiting the surroundings of Cocconato and shopping for wines you can visit the Romanesque churches and Monferrato'castles, Vezzolano Abbey, Chieri with its many churches, Asti, with its history and the Palio in September, Turin, with its museums, and its nightlife. Those who love hiking can follow the path of the three shrines (Superga-Vezzolano-Create), passing 200 meters from our house. Those who love to swim a pool can be found about 5 km. Codana Lake. In compliance with Italian laws guests will sign a lease for the days of the stay and the text will be sent at the time of booking for your view. This is not a cost. The tourist tax is €2 per night per person up to 7 nights. At first, I wasn't sure how that would work out, but I can categorically say that this was the BEST experience! Ilda and Carlo, our hosts, were gracious, caring, attentive, and simply outstanding! Ilda even invited us to her birthday party where we were made to feel like family!! The flat itself was perfect (2 bedrooms & 2 baths), located close enough to Coconatto for the daily evening walk into town. Coconatto is a delightful town and September is an enchanting month there, especially with the Palio. I'm impressed with how a small town (1500 souls) manages to do so much and have so many events - all without feeling touristy. The flat is the perfect location for exploring the surrounding areas and cities, especially Turin where we thoroughly enjoyed the various markets. And France and Switzerland are not that far away. I walked to town one morning in about 15 minutes. The town has a grocery store and several very good restaurants. Le village de Cocconato est superbe et possède une âme qui mérite un détour. Les propriétaires sont super sympas, bon dialogue multilingue, les abricots et les pêches de leur verger sont du soleil. Merci pour ce séjour agréable. Personnellement je me suis régalé en tant qu'ancien coureur cycliste avec mes sorties dans les vallées et monts de cette belle région et une nature époustouflante. La maison est très belle et extrêmement propre, tout le nécessaire y est du linge à la cuisine équipements etc.... si vous souhaitez recharger les batteries, au grand air en ayant en plus l'opportunitée de voir, manger, boire, visiter, milles choses tout autour, alors c'est votre prochain lieu de vacances ! ##### corinne C. It is a wonderful place, the flat is really fine and the interior design is loveley and individuell. Ilda and Carlo are great host and wonderful people. Man kann sich sofort wohl fühlen in der sehr gut ausgestatteten und absolut sauberen Wohnung. Die Terrasse ist durch die Überdachung gut geschützt und man kann sie sehr gut nutzen. Ilda und Carlo sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und geben Ratschläge für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Nous avons énormément apprécié l'accueil des propriétaires. Le gîte est très calme et a été rénové récemment avec goût, et rien ne manque. Sep 1, 2016 #### Liebevoll und großzügig ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in schöner Natur und sehr netten Vermietern Wir waren hervorragend in einer liebevoll renovierten und sehr gut ausgestatteten (und viel Platz!) Ferienwohnung untergebracht, wo es uns an nichts gefehlt hat! Auf der schönene Terrasse und im Garten konnten wir gut entspannen. Die Vermieter Ilda und Carlo waren super nett und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten viele Ausflüge unternehmen und unseren Urlaub so richtig genießen. Cocconato ist ein süßer kleiner Ort, in dem wir gerne Salami und Käse einkauften und in der Bar unseren Aperitif nahmen. We really loved our stay at this beautiful home. The house was clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed as a family of three. The terrace was stunning and we spent some happy times enjoying good food and watching the sun set. Aug 4, 2016 #### Wonderful holiday A great place to be. We spent two weeks with our two aktive boys. Ilda and Carlo are very friendly, helpful landlords. They gave us a lot of ideas for sightseeing, found answers for all our questions and it was just nice to have a talk with them. They are also owners of a huge fruit- and vegetable-garden and they spoilt us so much with apricots, plums, figs, tomatoes... Delicious! The appartment is big, very clean and nice furnished. We loved to eat or drink a glass of wine on the terasse. From there you´ve got a great view in the surrounding area and on clear days you even can see the alpes. For our boys it was great to play football on the meadow behind the garden. All together we enjoyed our holiday very much and recommend the place of ilda and carlo.
