Looking to get away to the mountains with your family? Timber Hollow is the perfect choice for large families, or groups, traveling together! Our custom log cabin sits on a private 65 acre buffalo ranch. Enjoy viewing our buffalo when you drive in or stop by in the morning at feeding time! This cabin is nestled in the woods & has plenty of space for families traveling together. So, whether you are looking to hit the slopes at Cataloochee Ski Resort in Maggie Valley (only 12 miles away) or visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville (only 30 minutes), there is plenty for everyone to do in The Great Smoky Mountains! Timber Hollow is ideal for large families vacationing together because we have 2 master suites as well as a 2nd kitchen downstairs! You can store extra food in the downstairs fridge! Also, rest assured the children will be well entertained downstairs in the game room where we have a pool table & ping pong. There is a foosball table in the loft. Also enjoy an evening in our 6-8 person hot tub out back! Children will love the hike through the woods to the play area, The BC Corral! This custom designed area has everything from swings, zip line, slides, teeter totter, cargo nets, rock wall & even a horse shoe pit for the adults! The kids will love it here! If you are looking for a quiet 'get away from it all' retreat, this is it! Enjoy long hikes on the property, fishing on the Pigeon River (within walking distance from the log cabin) or take a trip into town to do some shopping or antiquing. Petted and feed animals, hiked, went exploring, spent a couple of hours at a cool playground, and went to game room a couple of time. At the cabin we shot pool, played Foosball, enjoyed the hot tub, charcoal grilled some of our food, built a campfire, and made smores. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way for our family. To top it off, it snowed for about 24 hours while we were there. Imagine enjoying a campfire and a hot tub while it's snowing. Honestly an absolute awesome stay. ##### James P. It was private and secluded, yet offered some unique experiences such as seeing bison, several farm animals, and tons of llamas. There was a custom built playground the kids loved too. We enjoyed fun with the games and the hot tub at night. Communication was great with staff and the cabin was just what we thought it would be, meaning the description and what we needed to bring was accurate. We had 3 kids and 6 adults and we all had a great time. My son had a blast riding the miniature horse and feeding the goats. We also all loved getting to watch the Bison feeding. Everything was organized and communicated well. We would recommend 4 wheel drive to get to the property; however, the staff went above and beyond and drove our parents' Camry up the hill. Plenty of room for 2 families with 9 total people. Everyone loved the animals on the property. The only “issues” we had were our fwd Pilot couldn’t make it up the driveway due to loose soft gravel and there wasn’t a ping pong table that was pictured. Would definitely recommend. ##### Jacob J. Quaint log house is well outfitted with furnishings and kitchen utensils. Bring your own bathroom and shower supplies. Only real negative is no trash dumpster on site. You have to take your own trash to the "dump" on your way to town or live with it in the unit. Overall, a great choice. Be sure to watch the Bison feeding! Educational and entertaining. P.S.
