Grand Hotel Le Rocce

"WE LOVED THIS PLACE! I can't say enough about our wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Le Rocce! Everyone on the staff was so warm, helpful, and friendly. From the welcoming front desk ladies and helpful bell attendant to the beach and pool staff, waiters, and especially fabulous FABIO, who ran the terrace dining room, everyone made us feel right at home. Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, this hotel is paradise! We booked a balcony room and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a larger room. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfy. Every morning, I felt like a Disney princess as I slipped into my cozy robe, opened the balcony doors, and soaked in the gorgeous ocean views while listening to the birds chirping. Pure magic! The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with something for everyone, and then some. Dinner on the oceanfront terrace was so delicious and reasonably priced that we ate there both nights! The private beach, reached by stairs, was beautifully appointed with comfortable loungers with shades, umbrellas, towels, and attentive staff who even took café and bar orders. The pool and Jacuzzi were equally lovely places to unwind. The hotel is a short drive to the charming town of Sperlonga and the Villa of Tiberius. One thing to know: There is no elevator, and the hotel has many levels and stairs, so it may be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. We absolutely loved every minute and would return in a heartbeat!"

"Not a jolly welcome…. But staff were friendly and answered our questions. Restaurant was very good for evening meal and breakfast. Close to Montecassino which is well worth seeing. Also the CommonWealth WWII cemetery is worth a visit."

"Wonderful hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. Great waitresses making lovely coffees. We had a superb dinner in the restaurant. Receptionist was so helpful. Highly recommended this hotel."

"This is an update from an earlier review where was critical of restaurant pricing which didn’t match what the front desk had said. To make a long story short, the front desk manager listened and understood that there was a communication issue that led to us being overcharged. She subsequently reversed those charges and we greatly appreciate her doing so. Brava!!!"

"The hotel was in the perfect location to the highway and to other small towns in the area. There was a wide variety of foods for breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. We could have used a chair in the room rather than have to sit on the beds. The air conditioning was perfect!! We enjoyed our stay."

"Reasonable price, clean room, great staff, but AC wasn’t great. Location was also great. I would recommend for sure, but not when it’s hot. Locals were very friendly."
Grand Hotel La Playa

"While our room was very clean, it did have old mold on the shower. This hotel is older, but it probably used to be very grand. One of the things we loved was that it included our own reserved umbrella and beach lounges. It also had a balcony with a beautiful sunset view over the sea. We couldn't get really excited about the breakfast, either, but it was definitely adequate. The small town was quiet and sleepy, not a party place. It was very reasonably priced and a good value."
