"La habitacion y baño estaban bien. El desayuno aunque fuese simple, estaba bien. La habitacion grande y con mucha luz. La cama cómoda y el baño con bañera y bastante bien. Igual hubiese estado bien tener algo mas de jabón. Tiene zona para dejar los coches, aunque, digamos que es en el campo. Para llegar al hotel, para coches anchos, es complicado el acceso y puedes llegar no pasar, ya que pasas entre casas y el camino es estrecho. The location is peaceful and quiet, with a spectacular view that makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We also really enjoyed the wine they offer, which is excellent. "The owners are great. The property is not. The place is cold for winter, the thermostat is locked, but if you call the owners they will adjust it up some. The place has a smell. It is like a wet dog or mold. The bed is hard, the pillows are flat, and the sheets are thin. It is a multi- stay unit home, if you book a room, there may be another 4 (or more) guests staying there with you sharing the common room. For winter, all the potted plant were brought inside. A bit more communication from the owners as to where they are or where to go for check-in would be appreciated. They are right next door for the record. The owners made a simple bread, fruit, and coffee breakfast with local jam and honey. It was nice and they are good conversationalists. I wish I could rate it higher, but the smell was a big negative for me. "

"Casa da Fonte is nestled in one of the sweetest villages within Gerês. This place was a good value for price. However, we had major issues with check in. We sent inquiries about check in days before and received no response. We didn’t get our check in information until after the check in time, forcing us to sit in a fierce, cold rain storm. The place smelled like cigarettes and the host is not on site/wasn’t responsive. However, we may have been a one off. Everybody has a bad day and we hope their business does well."

"A hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was a good size and had a balcony with a hammock and lake view. The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs. The food in the evening was a bit limited; only one choice of a main meal but there were numerous bar snacks and sharing platters. Not really a problem though, as there was a restaurant 5 minutes walk down the road. In all a very enjoyable stay"
