The location is sublime for peace and quiet. The staff is nothing but friendly. The food is wonderful. The tours are a better deal than anywhere we found. My final bit to mention is to go to Tet Rouge to enjoy yourself, but make an effort to meet your neighbors (Tet Rouge is delightfully petite) and enjoy the family that ensues. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of our time on the property, interacting with the staff and other guests and exploring the greater Soufriere area. The property itself is rather small, but very intimate and has a fantastic location to view nightly sunsets and walk to a beach. We found there to a be a lot of great, organic social interaction between different guests, stemming from the intimacy of the property. It was easy to find activities to do with other guests, join them for dinner and drinks, etc. This was the case consistently as others came and went…so it really seems like more of who chooses to stay here. But, for us, the true place where Tet Rouge exceeded our expectations was with the staff. To a person, everyone was kind, welcoming, down-to-earth and a pleasure to be around, day-after-day. To Gavrind, Hilroy, Samantha, George, Quint…and everyone else I'm forgetting at the moment: our sincere thanks for making our stay so fantastic! We'd absolutely stay here again! Lastly, the food, drinks, etc. at the resort are all very good. Are there places in the area to get a better meal? Sure, a few come to mind. But they're all far more expensive and much more of a production. Perfect place to unwind and relax. Hardwood floors, beautiful outdoor shower, no TV, small kitchen for snacks and leftovers.The hosts were very caring and accommodating. There is an expansive sea view and a great sea breeze although it did get a little hot in the middle of the day. You can hire a driver or rent a car to explore the island. The beach was an athletic hike about 25 minutes away with great views along to way. The included breakfast was huge and delicious. It’s close to many of the good tourist spots, but you will need a good rental vehicle. The rooms are spacious, open with rustic charm and amazing views. Each villa has its own private outdoor shower which feels so luxurious and special. We loved our stay here, it was the perfect base to do our activities, we do reccommend you hire your own car or budget plenty of money for taxi's as we did. For St Luciia, it was close to everything on the West side. Diana and Sorin are the most hospitable hosts and are supported by very friendly staff, especially Gavin and Melissa Dinner is served most nights and is prepared by an experienced chef. They are eager to make touring suggestions and even arrange them. New Years Eve was a very special and Memorable experience at Tet Rouge. Rooms thoughtfully created with great attention to detail. Beautiful outdoor shower - like being in a waterfall. Good basic cooking facilities to prepare own food. Good to meet other travellers by the pool. The infinity pool! Were good to communicate with before arrival. Negatives: Various things in the room were broken (including the front door handle, which fell off in our hands) or did not work (eg the front door key, which did not fit the lock). Staff seemed to have a nonchalant attitude to fixing these issues. No front desk, it was sometimes unclear how to get assistance or even who to ask. My husband and I stayed at Tet Rouge for our 25th anniversary. We stayed 3 out of our 7 night trip to St Lucia and wish we would have stayed they entire week here. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were happy to talk to us or just give us our privacy when we wanted. The room was amazing. Beautiful views, open and airy and we loved the outdoor shower. We rented a car and drove into Soufriere to get groceries. Everyone was very friendly. There are plenty of really good restaurants nearby for dinner. The road to Tet Rouge is a little rough but its so worth it! As avid travelers to the Caribbean, I am willing to go out on the limb and say this was top 3 of places to stay. Owners are simply fantastic and care about your every need. Dinners there are incredible! Thier staff is second to none! Gavin is the most dedicated employee I have ever seen. I would hire him at any moment for my own business here in New Jersey. The only reason it's top three and not number one is the lack of AC. It does get very windy at night but still our room was hot. Others we talk to didn't seem to mind the room condition and a few did agree with us. Other than that it's just a incredible place to visit and you will adopt new friends as family!
