Chinatown Gate

The location is perfect with easy access & a car park at the back (payable) & also a tunnel going through to the promenade, perfect for a stroll. The view from the bay fronted room was stunning; highly recommended. The staff are all very hard working but courteous at all times & can't do enough for you. The food is good & reasonably priced. The poached eggs and mushrooms I had for breakfast was delicious! The place is in need of some TLC & refurbishment is clearly ongoing but my room was clean & comfortable & the small table & chairs in the bay window was just the job. Very reasonably priced; amenities are fairly basic but for a budget stay you can't go wrong at the Commidore.

Very small accommodation for a family of three. Pics online do not adequately represent the ‘stables’ but mainly show the other units which are bigger. For the price we paid (£102.50 for the night) I would say it’s massively over priced. Total accommodation was probably half the size of an Ibis budget room but double the price. Beds were comfortable and location was good. Outside area could have been tidier and again not suitably represented in the pics . Also directly next to a busy railway track .

En general bien mais les tapis mur à mur son sales. Notre chambre donnait sur la facade et le traffic est bruyant, impossible d'ouvrir les fenetres qui sont barrees.
