A beautiful stone-built, detached cottage, renovated in 2020, with far-reaching countryside views, Barn View offers modern facilities along with original exposed beams. The ground floor consists of a living/dining room with stone-built fireplace, along with a separate well-equipped kitchen. On the first floor you will find two well-appointed bedrooms as well as a family bathroom complete with a spa bath. The cottage is situated on the owner’s working farm with cattle, ducks, geese, chickens, and horses, and is an ideal holiday location (stabling available). A plethora of walks can be taken from the doorstep and coarse fishing can be found ½ mile away. Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Hardwick Hall and the Heights of Abraham are just a selection of the many attractions within a 10-mile drive of the cottage. Bakewell is the ancient capital of the Peak District, and is just under a half an hour drive away, famous for its puddings. Shop 4 miles, pub 3 miles, restaurant 5 miles. Beautiful, spacious, cottage on a quiet livery yard and lane. Enclosed garden with grass and patio, superb for our dog to go out safely, which was a big plus. Sitting/dining room huge but cosy with large tv, dvd, flame effect fire and extremely comfortable sofa with legrests. Excellent kitchen with big fridge freezer and all the appliances and kitchenware you would need. Parking right outside the door and easy access with key safe. The bedrooms were comfortable with loads of storage and having two bathrooms is very handy. The hosts are perfect, very friendly, accommodating to requests and responsive to messages but otherwise leave you to enjoy your break in private. Would highly recommend and we would definitely return.
