I needed a place in Chester that had free parking and a bed to sleep in The George and Dragon Place fitted the bill. The bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. As it was a wet weekend in Chester the radiator produced enough heat to dry my trousers before going out for dinner. However, remember to turn it off before going out as it was like a sauna on my return.
The hotel fitted my requirements but without food it may not be for you.
Used to stay regularly at the George and dragon before it closed.. was really pleased when it reopened.. lovely clean rooms great location easy check in.. would recommend 😃
Arrived Friday to a warm and helpful welcome.
Rooms were great, friendly staff and lovely feel to the place.
Only down side was the road/traffic noise pretty much all night.
Good location and large carpark, easy check in and very close to centre, breakfast available for an additional fee, basic room and ok for a few nights, noisy road so not good for light sleepers and I did need to wear ear plugs, but overall ok for a weekend break as so close to all the bars and restaurants.
Parking very good staff friendly room and hotel tired and not deep cleaned
Bed good, room quiet, heating just right and shower basic but hot & powerful

This is an alcohol free pub, which meant no rowdy people or noise.
The food all has an Asian twist which worked well.
Staff all courteous and helpful.
Rooms were nice and warm.
Will definately be coming here again.
Very reasonably priced amd near city centre. Bed was extremely comfortable.
However, no cafe, no breakfasts available, no reception area with brochures.... simply a room to stay. A 'pod hotel' is the description, I believe. Hence the price.
Shower and sink area was very clean. Only provided towels. Also, no shower mat and the floor was very slippery without it.
Finally, my en suite VERY SMALL room overlooked Liverpool road, had a window that didn't close. A 'sort of double window' had been fitted across the bay window to stop the draught, I believe, but it didn't stop the noise from this main road. The previous reviews about this property indicates a change of ownership.

The location for accessing the city centre is excellent and the free parking a boon.
I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't included - this should be made clearer when booking.
Room was clean and tidy and bed linen fresh. Towels provided and staff did ask of we wanted the room cleaned, every second day. The bed was comfy and we all slept well. There is traffic noise but both windows had secondary glazing which dampened most of the noise. We kept the windows open to keep the room cool.
Bathroom fittings a bit dated but all worked OK. Shower worked fine and plenty of hot water.
Wardrobe, one bedside cabinet and one small set of drawers provided - could do with more storage.
TV with DVD player and HDMI outlet provided.
WiFi seemed to work reasonably well.
Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or wheelchair users.
Bar downstairs was recently renovated and staff very welcoming, prices for drinks were reasonable.
All in all it was reasonable value for money.
