The hotel rooms are clean, comfy beds and nice bathrooms. The food is lovely (recommend the Stilton mushrooms) and the bar is well stocked and cosy. The staff and management were helpful and it seemed enjoyed the atmosphere. The whole place is filled with interesting antiques and bits of furniture. So much character. Very old and worn down building, but the room was modern and clean. Wifi terrible with multiple dead periods every evening. Water pressure in the shower terrible. Quiet and clean room. No breakfast until 8:30 in the weekend. My room was very clean with comfortable bed. Some of the furnishings were dated but it was in keeping with the style of the property. The staff were very friendly and professional and could not fault any of the staff at all.
