High ceilings, antique furnishings, and high level of detail make for interesting visual appeal. Layout, natural light, and relatively large rooms contribute to a soothing and pleasant living space. Additional deck, front porch with chairs, extend living outdoors. Fully equipped kitchen, individual room heating/cooling, and energy independence round out the house. Very easy check-in and the host was quick to respond when there were issues with the front door lock. On a busy road, but very quiet at night. A block away from an amazing bakery/coffee shop. This is a great place for a quick weekend away. However, if you are a big sports fan, they do not have standard cable to watch games on traditional broadcast channels. Our 18-year old daughter remarked that this is the type of house she wants to live in forever. The decor was so charming. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided (coffee setup, cooking supplies) and the rooms were so comfortable. Excellent location to visit our UVA student. We went for a lovely run in the morning (close to McIntire Park) and enjoyed coffee on the back deck/outdoor space. Amazing stay! ##### Stephanie C.
