This hotel is tops, one of the best in Charleston. Located in the historic district in walking distance to some great food and night life..area safe at night and the people are very friendly
I only have good things to say about the staff. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. I think for the price they could provide better than a 1 ply toilet paper however. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the wait staff made it a nice dining experience. Loved the lattes!!!!!!

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Kudos to Kevin for providing excellent customer service the morning we checked out.
We booked through Expedia and chose a package that included parking at a lower rate of $34 while the hotel charges $49. They still charged us the $49 and we had to spend close to an hour through Expedia trying to figure it out. The young lady at front desk simply told us during check in that she never heard of paying for valet through Expedia and there was nothing she could do.
The hotel is nice, you have to use valet as it’s downtown Charleston and parking in general is scarce.
Room was spacious.
They have a “resort fee” of around $35 as well.
Location is convenient and walkable. We booked a high floor room and it was quiet. Restaurant closes at 9:00 pm which is rather early for Charleston.
No pool, No microwave, No Laundry Facilities, No Ice. This place has amenities listed that it does not have. Valet parking is your only option. It’s $49/ night, which is fine, but the valet’s clearly expect a tip on top of that. Valet also takes a long time.
The hotel is nice looking. The room was nice. The bedding was cheap so it held in a lot of heat. It was not my best experience.
The room itself was beautiful, bed was comfortable, bathroom was great and had great amenities. The hotels ambiance was also great, loved the coffee shop they had in the lobby. The location was also perfect, within walking distance of king st. However this whole experience was ruined by their unprofessional valet. For a hotel that prides itself on luxury, (and that charges ~$50 a night for mandatory valet parking) you would expect halfway decent service. Not a $5k repair bill after the valet rams the side of your car into a pillar because they were distracted by joking around. Luckily this was caught on dashcam, but I was never contacted about this despite being told everything would be taken care of. Front desk gave me a number that never answered. I ended going through my own insurance. As much as I loved the hotel, I cannot recommend anyone stay here if they must also park here.
The place is new and it’s beautifully decorated. Love the aesthetic of it. However, upon check-in, there were two issues: 1. I specifically booked this hotel one month prior because of the availability of a double queen room. When we arrived for check-in, they did not reserve the double queen room I had requested and did not offer any type of compensation for their error.2. Pool was non-operational… Seems that they could have made sure of that before they opened to the public.
The room and the bathroom were very nice… comfortable mattress and plenty of space to lay out your luggage. The sheets on the bed were very rough and scratchy, almost itchy. The pillows had zero support. The most difficult part of this stay was that the sliding glass door to the balcony had zero noise insulation so we could hear everything on the street, including a car alarm that decided to go off four times in one evening.
Overall, the hotel is nice, but they need to work out some of these other issues to make it a five star hotel.
Loved the staff- even met handsome managers who helped us with our bags in lobby- Marcelo? Wonderful African American guy, college student, was so helpful and nice at front desk. Great place
The property was recently opened so the pool was not yet available. The staff was amazing. We walked where we wanted to go, which was great, even though it’s a little away from the main cluster of hotels. I liked that the balcony allowed us to get some fresh air in. It was quiet. My husband enjoyed the breakfast but nothing appealed to me so I ate my homemade cereal in the room. I’m not a fan of the exposed clothes hangars (no true closet), but they are increasingly common. Ok for short stays.
