Salt miners first discovered the medicinal effects of the area’s mud and water after noticing the natural curing of their wounds. The first spa opened in the 1930s, followed by a public health resort in the 1950s. Today, Cervia Thermal Baths offers varied beauty and well-being services. Bathe in the thermal pool, where the water is maintained at a high temperature. Hydro-massage jets provide relief for aching muscles while rain showers are good for blood flow and pressure. Try balneotherapy to aid the immune system and mud therapy to improve irritable skin conditions. Unwind as a trained masseuse calms your body via ayurvedic, shiatsu and traditional massage techniques. Get advice about exercise programs and rehabilitation in the gymnasium. Children will have fun playing with educational games and exploring the adjacent pine forest with a guide. Go outside and sit on the terrace, which overlooks the lush green forest. Find the wellness center located 1.6 miles (2.5 kilometers) to the west of central Milano Marittima. Public buses travel the short distance from Piazzale Forli square at regular intervals throughout the day. Alternatively, get here on foot by walking for about 25 minutes. Some free street parking is available and there’s a large metered car park adjacent to the center. The thermal pool at Cervia Thermal Baths is open from April to November.
