You can visit the cities of art, the old villages, rich in history, admire the beautiful landscapes and many other points of interest in this amazing region. You can also relax by the pool, enjoy the nature and see the birds in the park, and feel like you are at home. In less than one hour you can go to Pisa and its airport (at 30 Km), to Lucca (at 15 Km), Florence and its airport (at 50 Km by motorway), to Volterra (at 40 Km), to Siena and San Gimignano (at 100 Km by motorway), to the sea (the beautiful beaches of Versilia at 50 km by motorway), to the white marble mountains and the beautiful caves, to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, to the medieval villages, including Collodi with the tale of Pinocchio, to the ancient and magnificent villas of Lucca with their amazing gardens, to the roads of wine and olive oil, and to many other interesting places. We are in the countryside, close (300 mt.) To the village of Orentano, with three very good restaurants at walking distance where you can taste the traditional cuisine rich of aromas and flavors. There are some cafe's, grocery stores, a bakery and other shops, just 5 km from the motorway A11 of Altopascio. The coordinates are 43 ° 46'38\. 70''N 10 ° 39'57\. 67''E The property is in a big park, completely fenced and covered by free WiFi, with a large swimming pool, private parking, a soccer field, green volleyball, fitness equipment, a ping pong table, a babyfoot, other toys for children and many large , old trees. On demand you can have bicycles and enjoy a tasty dinner eating Italian homemade pizza cooked in a brick oven in a tavern next to the pool. Besides the stone villa there is another ancient villa, where I live with my family (me, my wife, our 27-year-old son and our 19-year-old daughter) and there is an independent apartment, and another small independent apartment near to the pool. All the houses have their own privacy and you can't even tell there are other people. The pool is 15 meters x 6 meters with a deep from 1\. 2 meters to 2\. 60 meters in the deep area, plus a small area in wood of 1\. 30 meters x 6 meters, 10 centimeters under water, much loved by young children because they can stay in the water without fear. The edge of the pool is made of travertine stone, while the interior is in glass mosaic. With the light of the sun it reflects beautiful colors, like the Caribbean. It is not salt water. There is a diatomaceous filter and an electronic control unit of dosage for chlorine and PH. There is no smell of chlorine and the water is always very clean. There is a solar shower and 24 sunbeds. The pool is surrounded by a green lawn and an oak tree that serves as the umbrella. During the night the pool can be illuminated, to swim even during night time, and it can be closed automatically to maintain the water temperature and / or for children’s safety. In the spring and autumn months there is a system with a heat exchanger that keeps the water temperature warm enough. The stone villa is about 250 sqm and it is equipped with everything you may need, also for daily cleaning (washing machine, dry machine, dishwasher, etc). Air conditioning is provided in the whole house, along with a heating system. There are 5 bedrooms: on the ground floor a bedroom with a queen size bed and a small bedroom with bunk beds. There is a sofa bed on the step level floor. On the first floor there are two bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with two single beds and bunk beds. In total it can accommodate up to 14 (10 + 4) people. Then there is: \- An equipped kitchen, dining room with brick oven, laundry room, living room with fireplace and stone stairs to go to the first floor, 4 bathrooms in marble, three with showers and one with a bathtub. \- Two large outdoor porches, one equipped for outdoor dining, including a big BBQ. We were a party of eight, and everyone loved our time here. Our host Franco greeted us upon our arrival and even made pizza for us! He and his family could not have been kinder and their gracious attitude made our stay even better. The house is beautiful inside, and has every amenity, including a beautiful pool. It was absolutely perfect for a group of 5 adults and 5 kids. The house was comfortable and spacious and the outdoor spaces were lovely. The kids barely came inside from the pool and the huge grassy area where they played soccer and baseball. And the grownups could watch them from several shady spots nearby. Franco and his family were wonderful hosts and the house was well equipped for cooking. His wife is a chef and cooked us a delicious family style meal one night. We enjoyed it so much we only left to go grocery shopping, even though there are many great places to visit nearby. We would definitely come back! ##### Sarah B. Franco and his family were wonderful hosts, helping our family to understand the Toscana region; directions to many wonderful Toscana towns and villages and restaurant suggestions as well. The Stone House is big and beautiful - clean and well equipped and centrally located in the region- a perfect location near Lucca, Pisa, Firenze and many other beautiful places to explore. Our family had a great time (the swimming pool was amazing) and there is talk of visiting again in the future. We could not be more pleased with the beautiful Stone House and Franco and his family. We highly recommend this home and confident you and your family or friends will have a marvelous, once in a lifetime experience. There are many many good things to say about the place as well as Franco and his family. We have three children aged 7\. 5 and 3 and it was the perfect place for them. You open the door in the morning and the kids do what they want, you don't have to supervise them. And there's lots to do for them. The boys loved the small football pitch with goals, there is table tennis table football and the pool. We used the pool the first two days before the temperatures dropped. It's very large and even has a small springboard. Franco put some toys out for the girl and she spent the whole day playing with them. One morning she came running telling us that new toys have been put out. The stone house itself is really nicely decorated. Everything is thought through, you feel more in a hotel than in a vacation rental. Plenty of towels, bath robes, really well equipped kitchen and everything in style. And they have everything, don't go buying toiletries, washing tabs. detergent etc. It's all there. And a lot of extras like a bottle of wine, morning pastries and so on. And if you need anything, Franco and family are on the property so there is always help around. The house is in a good location, no view from the property itself but you can reach many nice places within 45 minutes or less driving distance: Pisa, Lucca (totally worth a long visit, much nicer then Pisa, we loved it), Montecarlo nearby for a stroll or a lunch/dinner, the Pinocchio park and the Gardoni gardens, a trip to the sea etc. We had a really enjoyable stay, you feel that Franco and family are proud of their place and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome and that you are at complete ease. ##### Alain F. Every room was equipped with all one would need. My feeling was that I could live there with my family and not have the need to replace or purchase anything. The cooking facilities and serving facilities were perfect. The outdoors with BBQ and lounging facilities were excellent.
