Red Butte Ranch fully furnished Vacation Rental offers all the comforts off a home away from home on the North Platte river, 7 miles from Casper. It is the perfect place to enjoy your time away with friends and family for fishing/hunting, business, wedding and special events gathering, all year round.

One of the major draws is the tranquility of private access to the North Platte River, where you can enjoy fly fishing under the shade of Cottonwood and Willows trees, for your trophy brown and Rainbow Trout that are abound, Drift boat rental, fly fishing, shuttle service bike rental are on site, and if you are requiring a guided fly fishing trip with Wyoming fly fishing products, we can hook you up !!!

Red Butte ranch is close proximity to fine dining (or cook at home), golfing, skiing, hiking, bike riding, museums, Lakes and shopping. The area is full off history in walking and driving distance. Organ crossing off the North Platte river, First white man’s cabin, Devils tower, Handmade carts, dinosaur’s history, to name a few adventures for daily outings. etc.

The 5 BR 3 Bathroom, riverfront lodge sleeps up to 12.

Free WIFI is offered throughout the lodge, as well as satellite television in the master suite, sitting room, and bar area down stairs. Pet friendly with an extra cost.

On the upper level of the lodge, you will find a kitchen fully equipped with amenities. A counter height table seats four in the kitchen, and the connected dining area seats an additional six.

An entryway opens into the large sitting-room, which offers a picturesque view of Cole Mountain through the large window that gives the room an open feel.

Upper level: The master suite has a luxurious king-sized bed, large closet., dresser, to add additional space for you to unpack and make yourself truly at home. A 42' television is also available, to wind down after a long day of adventures with an en-suite recently updated.

On the lower level, there are two more bedrooms - the first has a queen-sized bed, and the second has two full beds. A large, rustic bar offers comfortable seating to watch a movie on the television, and a fantastic view of the North Platte River out the sliding glass door with a single bed.

The large wrap-around deck allows you to enjoy the magnificent view of Bessemer Mountain and the North Platte River from the 'best seat in the house.' The porch swing situated right outside the sliding glass doors of both the kitchen and the master suite is a perfect place to unwind after a long day of fly fishing. Two umbrella-patio tables can seat up to 8. A large barbeque grill is also available for your use.

State Wrestling

We stayed here for the Wyoming High School State Wrestling tournament and it was great! We had plenty of room for our four adult children along with their sposes and the 2 grand kids. It was clean and comfortable for what we needed. We only wished we would of had more time to enjoy it! Ruth the owner was very sweet and helpful. Looking forward to staying here next year if we get the chance!

The view is incredible

The house was just what we needed for the holiday. It was close to town yet had a country feel, not to mention right next to the river! The host was amazing and we can’t wait to stay again.

Cozy Lodge on the Platte River

We enjoyed our week stay at the Red Butte Ranch very much. It was spacious, clean, had a fully stocked kitchen and the host (Ruth) was amazing. The location was great, located just a few miles out of Casper yet quiet and serene. We plan to return next summer and if available would book the RBR again.

Family Wedding

The details of this property are accurate. The host is very friendly and helpful. A few of the family members booked a fly fishing tour and had a great time. The property is located on the beautiful Platte River and location is excellent.

Great Fishing Getaway

The lodge was the perfect place for our fishing weekend. Having private water access right out the backdoor was amazing (and lots of fish too). This was the perfect place for us to get away from the busyness of life, enjoy the stars at night, and just be for a few days. Ruth was great, extremely welcoming and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back!

Spectacular And Special Rental

The Red Butte Ranch Lodge is an inviting, comfortable, spacious and hospitable home. Sleeps 12 very comfortable. Perfect for family gatherings or getaway with friends. Fly fisherman’s base camp!

Great location to the North Platte River. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable with 6 bedrooms, 3 baths and a fully furnished kitchen was just what we needed! Our host Ruth was very accommodating! We have stayed there in the past and will return, hopefully sooner rather than later! Thanks again Ruth!

Casper Retreat

My wife and I stayed in Casper for a few days to check out the area and do a little fishing. The location was perfect to get to all of the great fishing spots Grey Reef, Fremont canyon, and on property. And a little drive to Casper we found some fun spots to have a drink and eat. Ruth was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was pleasant. Thanks again.

Wonderful hosts and an amazing home on the river!

If you are fishing or doing anything in the Casper/Grey Reef area, this is the place to stay. Plenty of room for guests and the walk around deck is amazing (wish it was warmer so we could have really utilized it) The home has everything you need and is set up perfectly. Did i mention its right on the river and has its own boat ramp? We will be back sooner than later! Ruth is an amazing host and we can't wait to book the house again. We had a wonderful time!

The perfect peaceful oasis for the end of fun but hectic family trip

After spending five days driving around and visiting national parks everyone in our group was ready for a rest. This property was perfect. The owner, Ruth, was friendly and helpful which was much appreciated. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and exactly as stated. It also had a wonderful wrap-around deck which always offered both sun and shade depending on time of day and preference. Everything we needed was there and could not have asked for a better place. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Wyoming Getaway

We had an amazing time at Red Butte Ranch. Beautiful location, great host (Ruth), incredible scenery and great fishing. 5 of us stayed in the lodge with more than enough room and peace and quiet. We had a great time winding down in the evenings, watching basketball and playing ping pong. Everything you need for cooking is there, Beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean, and it even had a nice garage and laundry room to dry out our fishing gear and warm it up for the next day. I would recommend staying here to anyone, and I will not stay anywhere else in the Alcova/Casper area. Thanks Ruth we will see you next time.
