Free WiFi + AC VILLA CORTINELLA This property is a semi-detached house on two levels (I live in the other half but nothing is shared: house, garden and pool are completely private and independent), less than a 10-minute drive from Lucca historical walls. Located in a quiet and strategic position to visit all the attractions in northern Tuscany, it is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and other plants. The house, the garden and the IN-GROUND 10-meters-long swimming pool are rented a group at a time: only you will use them! This is one of the few properties in the area with air-conditioning in all the bedrooms. GARDEN/POOL AREA \* Table-tennis table (ping pong), mini football goal posts, beach chairs, sunbeds, a big table with chairs, brick barbecue \* 10 mt/5 mt/ 1,5 mt pool (lenght/width/depth), cleaned and sanitized every day INSIDE AMENITIES Dining/living area: \* Kitchen with induction plates, steel kettle, fridge, freezer, microwave, full flatware, pots and glasses sets, coffee moka pots and dishwasher \* A chestnut table (6 seats) plus a two places couch and TV \* Washing machine and outdoor drying racks Two bedrooms: \* 100% cotton bed linens and bathroom towels are provided \* Every bedroom has one bathroom with sink, WC and shower \* All the rooms are air-conditioned (very rare feature here)! \* The two bedrooms have one matrimonial (double) bed at ground floor, two single beds at first floor. The 3 bedrooms were really large and the two upstairs both had private baths. The living space inside was limited, but most of the time we were off exploring anyway. The yard was nice with lots of fruit trees. The pool was beautiful and the host kept it very clean. Onsite parking was a plus. Our host Giacomo was very quick to respond and went out of his way to help us out with whatever we asked. He delivered fresh fruit to us picked from his yard next door. The instructions for appliances and recycling were all very clear and his recommendations for restaurants were great! He actually owns a Restaurant right down the road that we went to 3 times! Best pizza and even gluten free pizza of any we had in Italy! Pilato Pinsa Birra e Gelato, you must try it! The location is good if you plan to spend time in Lucca. He was on hand if we needed anything and bought us fresh fruit from his garden several times which was delicious. The villa had everything we needed and the pool was great. Location wise, it was a 10 minute car journey to Lucca which we visited several times. There are several restaurants close to the villa including Eva which did amazing ice creams. Perfect family home with lots of space, quiet, close to amenities, easy to navigate around area. Giacomo was an incredible host, bringing by fresh fruit from the garden, checking-in to see if everything was going alright, responded quickly to any questions. We loved the garden overflowing with plants and trees, and the nice view over the mountains, from the huge swimming pool. My husband, two grown up children and partners went away for a long week. The criteria was three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a swimming pool and to have peace, relaxation and fun! This villa was perfect in every way. Our Host Giacomo could not have been more helpful. He met us when we got to the Villa, showed us around, was at the other end of the phone if we needed him. Organised a wine tour that was fabulous and provided us with fresh lemons, some home made liquer and biscotti biscuits to accompany them. We would highly recommend this villa. It is a short walk away from restaurants, Osterias and bars yet remaining in a quiet relaxing area of Marlia. Everyone enjoyed it and we would love to come again at some point in the future. The house exceeded our expectations in every way. It was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and very functional for a family holiday.The children loved having their own room upstairs. We spent countless hours by the pool, which was a highlight of our stay (it seemed to magically clean itself overnight ). The garden area and outdoor seating made it easy to relax and enjoy meals outside.Although the owner lives next door, we never felt our privacy was compromised. In fact, it was reassuring to know they were nearby if there was any problems.The location was perfect for exploring the Lucca region, yet peaceful and quiet in the evenings. We highly recommend! We would definitely love to return!What We Did During Our Week (A Car was essential)Lucca : Strolling through charming streets, shopping, visiting Palazzo Pfanner and its lovely garden. Tip! Park Mazzini inside the city walls was very convenient.Montecarlo village & fortress: Beautiful views and a charming atmosphere.Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre: Scenic but very crowded and hot. Quercianella: Swimming and snorkling, lovely stone beaches. Shopping: Trip to Centro Commerciale Montecatini Beaches: Viareggio and Pietrasanta. Note! Der Besitzer sehr, sehr freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Absolut zu empfehlen. Nach Lucca einige Minuten mit dem Auto. Im Haus hätten wir uns etwas bessere Ausstattung gewünscht - Seife wäre sehr nützlich gewesen, besonders da wir - ungeplant - mitten in der Nacht angekommen sind. In der Küche gab es zwar genügend Teller, Besteck und Wassergläser, aber sonst fast nichts, keine Dessertschalen, nur 2x2 Weingläser und keine Platten. insbesondere gab es für den modernen Induktionsherd nur einen Topf und zwei Pfannen - sehr schade, denn in der Küche konnte man sich gut aufhalten. Casa pulitissima, spaziosa e provvista di tutto il necessario e di ogni comodità extra: condizionatori, dehors dove cenare al fresco, piscina con sedie sdraio, ampio giardino, tavolo da ping pong... Località perfetta per raggiungere in un attimo Lucca ed altri luoghi da visitare nei dintorni. La piscina è fantastica, privacy e tranquillità sono garantite, senza contare la disponibilità e gentilezza del proprietario!
