Reconnect with nature that completely surrounds you, as you take in the 30-foot drop, off the back deck at this unforgettable escape. It is a cozy studio for 2 with a kitchenette and living room. Traverse up the loft ladder steps to find a secluded queen bed with unbelievable views! The real treasure of this cabin is fully immersing yourself in the forest, while enjoying the covered deck with someone you love. SPA EXPERIENCE- available to guests of the treetop cottages only!!! This is a shared space with the 3 cottages which totals 6 adult guests only. This exclusive amenity of access to our Sauna, Cold Plunge and Hot Tub is the only experience like this in the RRG area! \*Cold Plunge tub CLOSED from December to March\* ADULTS ONLY! Squirrel Kit is an adult-only property with a kitchenette, living space and queen bed in the loft area. Perfect for 2 to create memories that you will never forget! This modern cottage has heating and AC in the onsite mini split unit as well as cold water in the kitchenette. The cottage also contains a microwave, Keurig coffee pot, mini fridge and TV. Traverse up the STEEP loft steps to a sleeping oasis with unforgettable views of the treetops. The covered back deck is the most enjoyable feature as it places you right in the middle of the forest! \*\*\*THESE CABINS ARE ADULT-ONLY DUE TO THE SPA SETTING AS WELL AS THE EXTREMELY STEEP HILLSIDE LOCATION\*\*\* The gorgeous bathrooms are a short walk (about 100 ft) from the cabin and contain a sink, toilet and custom tile shower. Each one is specifically assigned to each cabin and has a keypad entry. There are two other hillside cottages nearby and would make a great getaway for 3 couples to book together, but each have their own privacy. There is a large shared firepit area close to the bathrooms as well as a covered community gathering space. There is an assigned parking spot for each cabin located at the front of the property by the black garage. Each guest has a short walk (200 feet) to get to their specific cottage. THE AREA -- Squirrel Kit is secluded and away from the chaos, yet close to the greatest area attractions in Red River Gorge. Located just 1 minute from Campton lake where you can enjoy fishing, canoeing or hiking. The famous Nada Tunnel entrance to the Red River Gorge is just 15 minutes away from the property. You don\`t want to miss this! This is where you will find countless hiking trails, rock climbing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sight-seeing. For a memorable experience, hike to the famous swinging bridge over the Red River, located upriver from the Jump Rock and Swimming Hole. Natural Bridge State Resort Park features the Natural Bridge, a million-years-old sandstone arch, which is accessible by hiking up and down the huge mountain or by taking a slow and easy ride on the sky lift. For water activities, like fishing, kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddleboarding, make your way to nearby Mill Creek Lake. See the mountains from a whole new perspective when you go ziplining over the treetops for a challenging thrill in Cliffview, or drive through the Gorge to the family-friendly zipline spot in Frenchburg, where everyone from kids to grandpa can have a ball! If you\`re looking for even more thrills, visit Southeast Mountain Guides for world-famous rock climbing and rappelling! They offer guided climbs if you\`re new to the activity. Guests will have private access to the entire cottage and a separate assigned private bathroom with a sink, toilet and custom tile shower. The spa area is shared with the other two Hillside Cottages which are adult-only as well and limited to two guests each. We do our best to be available anytime through messaging via the Airbnb app. Quiet rural street with older residents and newer rental homes in the vicinity. Navigate to cottage on all paved roads. Park in a gravel lot in an assigned parking spot and walk down the 200 foot path to your cottage. Jul 7, 2025 #### Bucket list level The stay here was truly nice, had some trouble early on but Mgmt responded right away, after that hiccup it was smooth sailing and the weekend was one for the memory books. The entire property is really taken care of so well. The hot tub/cold plunge and sauna are a great touch!! But there are so many other things that just make the place so nice, the fire pit and the garden, plus all the beautiful flowers on the grounds. Just really taken care of it shows. Loved that they had a BBQ pit available for use as well, made for a great night in. The room was small but perfect size for a couple!! But it’s a treehouse and it truly was just a great vibe, with the really large deck it was more than enough space for 2\. The record player and stair lights are a great touch!! The community space is just that so expect to not have complete privacy all the time, but that’s what you’re treehouse is for lol with that said we had ample amount of time just me and the wife to hang out around the fire or chill in the hot tub just her and I. We love going to this area around the 4th of July, the community puts on some great fireworks shows and most of the trails are really nice and easy to walk.
