It was very clean upon arrival and the owner was very hospitable. Calumet is a great town to stay in because of its central location in the Keweenaw. The only (and I mean the only) drawback is that there is a little too much road noise if you leave the windows open. With the AC on in the front bed room you do not hear the road noise. It was clean and plenty of room for a family of 4\. The kitchen had everything we needed and there is a little store a short walk away. The surrounding areas were quiet and great for morning walks. When we arrived I noticed that the main level wasn’t cleaned and that there was a major ant issue. I contacted the owner to let him know what we walked into. He apologized. I took care of the ant issue myself with bug killer and spent the next hour cleaning the main floor.
