The spacious open plan dining and living room features large picture windows that flood the space with natural light, seamlessly connecting the indoors to the outdoors. These windows open to a generous outdoor terrace, where you will find the swimming pool and can relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty. A built-in barbecue, ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining is available for your use. Contemporary architecture and furnishings complement the open plan living areas to create a luxury feeling. The 3 south facing air conditioned bedrooms, all with sea-view, master bedroom with en-suite shower room, twin bedroom and another double bedroom open to the front terrace and pool deck There is also an additional full family shower room and a separate laundry with washer. The whole of the south facing area is a large open terrace and pool deck, with sun loungers and outdoor furniture. A sunken dining area offers a cozy and communal experience with a circular arrangement for comfortable seating. This is perfect for a casual leisurely meal while enjoying the beautiful sunsets. A second dining table with seating for 6 can be found in the side garden next to the built-in barebcue. Villa Adagio is set below the village of Prazeres in Calheta. Here you will find a selection of restaurants and cafés, and a supermarket within a radius of between two and three kilometres. Prazeres is also a great base for walking in Madeira, either along levadas or hiking, with easy access to the local expressway and to the Paul da serra plateau. The resot of Calheta is 9 Km away, and the picturesque surfing mecca of Jardim do Mar 8 Km away. A 50 minute drive takes you to Funchal, and Palheiro Golf and the airport are under one hour away. The pharmacy of Estreito da Calheta can be found 6.6 km away. It is 13 Km to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger branded supermarket, the marina (offering boat trips and dolphin watching), banks and a chemist. A 10-minute drive will take you to either of the two surfing meccas of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, at sea level and with trendy café-bars (try the caipirinhas and mojitos). Funchal is an easy 50-minutes’ drive and the airport under one hour along the motorway. Cleaning The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in. All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the swimming pool. For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own. Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen. Booking Notes The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time. To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of 500€ is required by credit card prior to check-in. Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival and once you have paid your balance. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol. At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km. Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2,5Km). Go straight across (2nd exit) , signposted Prazeres (don’t turn left into Calheta) and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2,3Km. When reaching the next roundabout, where you will find a BP Petrol Station, take the second turnoff indicated “Prazeres” and "Mercado Agricultores". Take this wide road until you reach a few hundred metres away a right turn indicating “Prazeres” Turn right here and you will reach a T-junction. Turn right again. Carry on for 500 metres and you will come to Prazeres centre. As you approach this, you will find on the right a triangle with mature trees and on the left the Restaurant O Parque.
