The location is great, in the heart of downtown Cairo. The room is large, with air conditioning. A drawback of being in downtown is the surrounding noise from the streets at night. You can see pictures of it back in the day on the walls. Its hard to find and in a very run down building, but its like being in a time warp. The beds were clean and comfortable. It looks dirty because its old, but i wiped at some places and they were clean, just stained over time, like in the bathroom. Check-in was tedious, filling out a paper with your home address and profession, bad exchange rate given and you must pay cash. Charged me $8 to wash a load of laundry and hang it out to dry. Wifi in reception only. This hotel is fine for a night or two passing through, but if you book it gor your whole vacation, you may be unhappy.
