He made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. This is perfect for a few families staying together as there are 5 bedrooms all with their own private bathroom - very rare to find. We really enjoyed our stay and the highlights were the fire pit (plenty of firewood for use) and the trampoline was popular amongst the kids. However, we did find that a lot of the cutlery, glasses and dinnerware were dirty and felt that it lacked some basic amenities like tea bags and sugar which was a bit disappointing given this is a luxury retreat. The house is a truly remarkable achievement. They have managed to maintain a high level of luxury and comfort while being completely off grid and remote. We visited in winter and were always warm and comfortable. The house is a large space with en suites in every room so it was perfect for our party. The house was well stocked with appliances and modern comforts like coffee machines etc. The kids were entertained by the surroundings and the toys/games at the house. We particularly appreciated the fact that fire place is raised and set back so that young children can't get near it. Also, ease of communication with the owner was probably the best I've experienced with a vacation house Our only criticism was the cleanliness of the kitchen and some of the common areas. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate but the cleaning in the kitchen lacked some attention to detail. Not a deal-breaker but a bit of a shame considering how perfect everything else was.
